Has anyone realised that if he defeats haussler on sat then he has beaten every fighter he has faced.
i like sannavia/good trier/puts his all into his fights. beyers people wanted a gimmee defense and they called on middleweight sannavia who at only 5.7 is never a super middleweight. sannavia never read the script and just waded into beyer windmill style/little skill , just kept up a high workrate and beyer simply did not know what to do and how to adjust to someone pressing him and sannavia won on points. rematch was made andf agian for about 5 rounds sannavia again was doing the same thing until a straight left put sannavia down and out and beyer regained his belt. at least sannavia can say he was a genuine world wbc champ. i put him in the same catergory of gavin rees who shocked mbaye when he was really just there as a token presence.
Neither Sanavia nor Haussler poses a threat to any top supermiddle.Bute's management seems to play it safe.
Yeah, they want a gimme to "showcase Bute's skills to an American audience" probably before Andrade/Lacy in summer...
Andrade is it? No chance for Lacy at all? Anyway, at this stage of Bute's career, there's nothing wrong with a fight he can learn from - but he has to be challenged enough to learn and develop - because come 2009 no one will go easy on him anymore; he will be expected to deliver big time, or at least to step it up against the very best.
Librado Andrade is a C-level fight, I dont even have him in my top20 SMW's and ive posted my list before. Lacy would school him. So would Bute.
Sanavia never was more than an average fighter, and most probably he never will be more than that... he had his 15 min. of fame beating Beyer, and that was a good thing, I like when C-class fighters who come to fight score an upset and enjoy some success/get some money. By the way, that fight was proof that judging in Germany is not always biased. I don't think he will beat Haussler, and if he does it don't mean ****.
I believe Sanavia is a southpaw. Bute has only fought 2 southpaws so far in his career. A third one can't be bad for his developpement especially considering his mandatory challenger will mostly likely be Tsypko who is a southpaw. :deal
I agree that Andrade is a C-level fighter in term of skills but he his power, chin and relentless pressure makes him a treat in my opinion.
