    And?

As you say it's 2nd behind basketball in the US, I couldn't name a single female basketball player if my life depended on it. And while participation numbers are high, how many go onto play it professionally? Many girls play it in high school and you can even get scholarships to play at college level but going pro? The money isn't in the sport at pro level to attract the best talent.

Nah, I'm sticking to my guns here, she's a ghoulish human being, and every bit as toxic as Broner, only maybe not quite as deranged. Although for what its worth, Tank might have her beat. I agree on the latter, she's tedious, unoriginal, and lacks all self awareness, sadly she's probably already surrounding herself with es men, and she'll never get any better.

enough to where America is the top rated country in womens Soccer. As far as going Pro, it is because no one wants to watch womens sports in general. In Canada, their womens pro Hockey league just went under. In spite of Hockey being their favorite sport. Womens pro Hockey in the States is hanging in there so far. Tennis is well established and the WNBA has been around 22 years now. For the most part though, only friends and family attend womens athletics. So the UK supports them?

Shields is the most unlikeable boxer in the world

    Ugly style, horrible personality

Hate how she comes windmilling in like Wilder when he sniffs a stoppage despite her having zero power to actually force a stoppage

Yeah America have always had a very good womens football team, but that's partly due to poor leagues and participation in other countries. In the UK it's only in recent years that women's football has really taken off and established itself in the minds of the general public.

Women's tennis is the best example of how if properly promoted womens sports can compete on a relatively equal footing with the men's game. They have their own tour which draws big crowds and prize money and then can compete with the men and bigger events like the Grand slams.

Athletics in the UK draws pretty healthy crowds ever since 2012. Athletics used to struggle to draw crowds before but I've definitely noticed agreater interest in athletics which much bigger crowds than before.

The thing about women's athletics it's given the same platform as men's they are not separate sports, so it's hard to say how many people show up to watch men or women. Right now in the UK women's athletics I think is healthier than the men's as more of the emerging talent and prospective medal winners are female while the mens side is lagging in regards to medal prospects. So those looking for British success will be more focused on the British female squad than the mens.

They should do away with half the divisions in women's boxing, it is farcical.

As they should in the men's tbf.

This also applies to Katie Taylor, it should be noted. If she becomes undisputed at LW and then moves up and beats Braekhus, then she's GOAT because she was undisputed in two divisions. Depends on who gets to the First Lady quickest, and whether they would be able to defeat Braekhus when they arrive.

If a wild swinging goon like Claressa becomes its GOAT, all women's boxing should just be canceled forever and retroactively stricken from the record.

(note: I feel the same way about the men's heavyweight division if Wilder ever becomes undisputed)

Was too sick on the sofa yesterday to reach the remote and turn this farce off so was forced to endure the whole "fight"....

    My thoughts?

If they boxed naked while wearing high heels (couldn't move around so much) AND the winner took a strap-on to the loser in the center of the ring after the fight...it would be can't miss events.

    Real talk.

 women's boxing is about as popular & stacked as men's knitting

The skill levels are mediocre. Why would we be butthurt over a backwards tom boy beating a cat walk model in a wafer thin talent pool? There's only one reason most watched this fight, & it wasn't to look at Clareesa Shield's! ;)
