He outworked, outlanded.. and looked at Mashabas face...

The ESPN crew was just all over Mashabas nuts the whole fight.. they are a sucker for Africans with hard luck stores.. ala Ouma.

Cruz WORKED. He hurt Mashaba in the 12th. I was leaning more toward a draw though.

I thought that Ray Oliviera throw over 1600 in one fight. It might be the record for featherweights. Anyway, it was a close fight that could have gone either way, but I thought Cruz's late surge earned him the close decision.

    DAMNED good fight, though.

The difference is Joe Calzaghe can easily throw 1500 punches, without tiring, with each and every punch being accurate and without leaving himself open to counters.

That is one of many reasobns why Calzaghe is the best fighter of all time.

Joe and Teddy even went as far to say that Cruz's corner might want to think about pulling, meanwhile I'm seeing Cruz land fantastic body shots. What's funny is Cruz followed Teddy's fight plan for him perfectly and he still didn't give him and credit, he kept going under the elbows and finished the fight strong.
