I could see him doing a Linares type of job on Haney, they both have similar handspeed and actually share a lot of similarities style-wise but I know who has more pop of the two.

Steve Farhood has it 67-65 Fernández, which is the reverse of the score all three official judges had.

Fernandez is a solid operator and this is a great step up for Rivera, a true establishment of his status as a world level operator in his own right. Might deserve to be ranked top 10 at lightweight now. Champs will be hearing from him soon and I could see him upsetting Haney in particular so he could be someone to watch out for.

I take it you missed Rosado's brutal KO of Melikuziev?

Rivera-Fernandez had the aesthetic value of a slow motion faceplant. Think it shades the day, as of right now.

Well, poor Jonfer a natural Super Featherweight just got violently KO'd by a massive Lightweight who should be fighting at Light Welterweight.

Now poor King Tug is being drug up from Featherweight on two weeks notice to face a Super Featherweight, who can barely make weight anymore.

I did, actually. And I'm starting to be saddened by this.

Thunder's southpaw 1-2 had a lovely impact and created a very satisfying perspiration spray, and Mama fell like a ton of bricks.

Rivera's was a semi-flush jab followed by an even less clean right cross as Jonfer was turning his body to slip and roll (unsuccessfully, as it turned out). Idk, even factoring in Jonfer's couple of seconds of hangtime the Pinoy one is more to my taste.
