Great KO, good fight in general, well done to both but I must say I don't think Rivera goes all the way despite the impressive finish here. Fernandez will remain a fringe world level guy at best, move your damn head.

Damn It looked like Fernandez hands were dropping as the rounds were going.

Is Rivera in the Garcia/Haney/Lopez category?

He was getting outboxed, beaten to the punch, and knocked down for most of the rounds this fight lasted. By a guy who kept his head almost completely still. He has a good look and dazzling power and I wish he was the real deal but I don't like what this performance says.

That finishing combo, if anybody knows their drum rudiments, was a straight up flam.

He did. Unfortunately there was a fist there waiting for it.

Does he seem to be from what you saw? Came through the biggest adversity of his career quite well seeing as he was put down by a big puncher but recovered very well and returned the favour with some extra spite. Maybe he shouldn't be getting put down by the likes of Fernandez but he does have the speed and skills to pose the likes of Haney problems for sure.

No jerkweed, you aren't the reincarnation of Muhammad Ali. Not even looks wise, Ali was far prettier than your ugly Tito Trinidad looking ass.

Eh, he barely moved his head or feet and got caught with combinations of flush ass shots right on the chin as a result.

Rivera needs to tighten up his defense. Fernandez is average at best with speed and he was catching him. Against faster and better opponent Rivera will be in serious trouble.

Maybe a step below, however Fernandez isn't a bad fighter from what I saw tonight.

Wouldn't be surprised if they angled Rivera for a Davis fight.

After listening to that delusional interview, he can't get KO'd fast enough for me.

He's not going to be elite, but I think y'all are being too tough on the ole' boy. He looks like a legitimate top 10 guy in the division, possibly slightly better, and should make for some good fights. He doesn't have to be championship material to be worth having around.

Eh, we have only seen him beat a handful of good fighters and Fernández aside they have been pretty stylistically two-dimensional (diametrically opposed southpaws Fidelo Maldonado, a raw puncher, and Ladarius Miller, a feather-fisted mover & pot-shotter; and orthodox Mexican brawler Juan René Telléz Girón González) so...jury's out.
