    People forget Eubank announced in Jan '93 his intentions of fighting the Barkley-Toney winner followed by Nunn, in America!

    And I seem to remember Bob Arum referring to Eubank as having too much of an awkward style for Nunn or Toney to look good against on TVKO.

    How do you see Eubank vs SMW Vinny Pazienza going? I got Vinny wsf10 in that one. Just as long as he hasn't been on the espressos before the fight though.

    What about CW Eubank vs the John Ruiz Jones fought?

    You're correct that Dublin hadn't had a big show in quite some time, however both Collins vs Eubank events actually took place in Cork. Belfast (which is a lot closer to Dublin than Cork is) had some decent events not too long before, including Eubank's 2nd fight vs Ray Close.

    But yes, the crowd were vociferous, and extremely fired up despite the above.

    My bad. Been a very long time since I watched those fights. I got confused because of Collins being based in Dublin. Cheers for correcting me though. I remember one of the commentary team mentioning something about the city not having had a big show in years and years, I wonder if it might have been Cork they were alluding to? Or maybe they were just talking about the Dublin fans who'd travelled up to see the fight being really excited because it was the first time in years one of their own was in such a big fight on home soil?

    I remember watching both of the Close fights too, many felt he (RC) was very hard done by in them. I can't remember how I scored them but they were, no pun intended, awfully close.

    It was a piece of genius by Collins. A real masterstroke on his part. Eubank claims otherwise now but he was seriously spooked at the time. Collins wasn't the most gifted fighter but he was a very smart one, in and out of the ring.

    Pazienza would be obliterated. Eubank was a naturally huge man.

    very difficult to predict because Ruiz is so much bigger.
