Benn fought his absolute heart out. IMO, he gained a ton of respect with that loss. A welter in there with a (now) super middle, and gave Eubank absolute hell, wobbled him multiple times. If I were a welter and watched that fight, can’t say I’d be enthused to have to fight the guy.

Also showed excellent durability and recovery ability.

Finally got around to watch this. As someone that’s been dismissive of this fight since they first announced it I must say I’m pleasantly surprised how good it actually turned out. Eubank Jr won it clearly but Benn definitely fought his heart out all the way through. They both deserve praise for putting on a tremendous show that made their fathers proud. Wouldn’t mind seeing them run it back again.

Depends on the welter, Chris was weight drained and Ennis has too offense and reach for Benn.

I had it 116-112 for Eubank but it was still a competitive fight.
If Eubank dictates the terms for a rematch at 164 with no rehydration clause I reckon he will stop Benn but if it is the same stipulations as the first fight I could see Benn winning the rematch as the weight cut took a lot out of Eubank.

Just saw a rumor on social media that Eubank is still in hospital with severe dehydration and not a broken jaw.

It was a good card, the match of Billam-Smith, Yarde and the main event (this one more than all) were entertainment matches and I liked them (and I think the verdicts were fair).

Two considerations, Turki Alalshikh wants Eubank - Benn II, while Hearn would like to see something else. Despite the good fight this time I agree with Hearn, Eubank struggles too much to make 160 pounds (and a weight cut like that is dangerous) and in the ring you could see the difference in size between the 2, I think Benn should go back to 147 or 154 pounds in his next fight. I also hope Liam Smith retires now, it is clear that his time has passed.

So yeah, just watched this now.

    Holy hell, what a fight.

I haven't seen an all-out scrap like that in a while. Huge respect to both guys.

I had it 8-4 Eubank Jr. It was an enjoyable fight, but not my Fight of the Year

Bam Rodriguez vs. Sunny Edwards. You’re welcome. Was really funny because they were so polite to each other in the buildup, seemed more like buds going to the local Lifetime Fitness to play racquetball. Then they get in the ring and all hell breaks loose. And after? There’s vid of them joking around in the locker room.

But yes, Eubank Jr. vs. Connor Benn was nonstop mayhem. Loved it. Exciting as hell.

There hasn`t been a fight close to this so far this year, the atmosphere was insane.

At the levels these two actually are, you really couldn't ask for anymore, entertainment value-wise, it was probably as good as it could be.

What made it so entertaining is that both fighters were pretty easy to hit and were getting caught flush time and again.

Yes, this defo wasn't too much about evasion and the sweet science of personal defence first. Lol. Their blinkered desires to really win at any cost was very first and foremost.

It really was a personal blood feud.
