Christopher Rebrasse vs. George Groves RBR

Round 3

Rebrasse is jabbing and cutting squares around Groves with robotic footwork, snapping at the corners and keeping his guard up tight against his face. Groves is belting him with spring-loaded up-jabs from a crouch and hard right hands, thrown both in succession and separately, landing sometimes and smashing Rebrasse's own fists into his face even when they don't. Heavy clubbing rights up top by Groves, blocked on the arms but knocking Rebrasse back a step. Groves keeps picking at his long skeletal frame with double jabs up and down the chest and then straight or looping rights on the face when Rebrasse's guard instinctively lowers.

Round 4

Rebrasse is blocking and stepping back as Groves hack with the right hand moving in. Groves walks into a 1-2 but shrugs it off and lands jabs from the crouch. Rebrasse is circling left and firing his arms out and upward to swing Groves' shots away.

Round 5

Rebrasse is covering up and waiting on Groves, taking hard 1-2s on the arms before retaliating with single jabs on the forehead or cuffing lefts on the turn. Groves stays in a partial crouch, still busier and landing harder but now being given more of a sustained argument.

Round 6

Rebrasse is standing in place or scooting back in straight lines and blocking as Groves leads with the hard left jab and swoops in with right uppercuts on the body. Rebrasse is ducking in and positioning his glove tops over his eyes so that Groves' jabs skid across them and out of harm's way past his head. Rebrasse is sticking his own jab out and even braving the inside waters to slash at Groves' body a bit.

Round 7

Rebrasse is placing his feet lightly, bending his knees outward and rattling off a few jabs or light chops leaning in before pulling up stakes and turning Groves. In a deep squat even while moving, Groves works double and triple jabs up between Rebrasse's gloves and trades body shots with him grinding in together in the pocket. Heavy rights by Groves, some missing badly as Rebrasse steps back and stands tall, gloves in the right place, responsibly defending but not finding any firepower to intimidate Groves.

Round 8

Groves is hurting Rebrasse with jabs on the body and big right uppercuts jumping in. Rebrasse beckons him in with a macho gesture, waving in towards his own chin with his back on the ropes. Rebrasse spins Groves onto the ropes and lands a 1-2 on the mouth. Groves hunkers down and works the body.
