Yes but Rebrasse only landed 69% of the sum that Groves landed. ;)

    Anthony Dirrel gets beat comfortably.
Andre Dirrel if back on form ( which I dont know if he is ) outboxes groves.

Dirrell who I don't like, has a great right cross, and straight right, just like Froch KO'd him with, Groves who I do like, has too many flaws and gasses too frequently, he'd be KO'd by Dirrell, Dirrel almost stopped Bika multiple times with one shot and Bika has an insane chin.

Think George gets stopped in later rounds by world class opposition. Trying to find reasons to like groves but struggling. Comes across as a twat with trademark hat and beats audio headphones

Unfortunately I think Andre Dirrell (one of my favourite American fighters) will KO Groves.

I had groves winning every round

12- 0 but it was competitive throughout

Groves wasted way to much energy and for me went for a tv friendly KO and got himself caught up in the atmosphere the crowd created . He needs to pace himself a lot better and be a lot less open to big shots and the longer the fight goes his chin gets higher as his hands drop lower because he's tiring to quickly as I have said he needs to pace himself better or a harder punching opponent will exploit this late into a fight . Lessons from the froch fights need to be learned .

Yep totally agree, Groves is one of my favourite fighters, however he definitely seems to be wasting too much recently.

He does get a little scrappy at times when he tries to throw too much when he has hurt a opponent.

I wonder if Patty is all bad for George. I mean he had George fighting like an inside fighter in this fight and he had him backing up against Froch in the Rematch. Both mistakes. George should have been staying on the outside jabbing and forcing the slower Frenchman to lead and make mistakes. Instead the only opportunities the Frenchman had were those that were given to him by Groves while he was hanging out in the pocket. Stupid ****.

George probably would have knocked the one dimensional Frenchman out if he was still with Adam Booth.

Have you ever seen and Irishmen counter Punch or not go all hell for leather? Me neither. If you want to know what is wrong with his style look no further then his corner. When Groves fought Johnson did he stay in the pocket or did he fight from distance? I rest my case.

Clear win for Groves. But I was definitely expecting/anticipating a stoppage. I'm not sure how much of my disappointment with the outcome is due to Rebrasse potentially being better than I initially gave him credit for or due to Groves having been slightly overrated due to his matching up well with Froch. That said he seems to have shown an improvement with his stamina having thrown 950 odd punches even if he missed a hell of a lot more than we're used to seeing.

But yeah overall I am left somewhat less enthused with Groves here. I still think he beats Anthony Dirrell who really is a garbage champion but I can't see much more beyond that. Perhaps I'm being over-critical here but I can't help but feel this performance was somewhat lacklustre.

    Entertaining scrap nonetheless.
