it's prolly the best case of expousure in boxing.

he was quick nifty and had a great jab and some good wins...ike qilliams and graziano if i remember (check on this) was undefeated...sadly he was pretty fragile, a powderpuff and just didnt have an inside game.
he was taken apart by a almost past his prime gavilan.

he was good im not saying he didnt have balls but he just didnt have a fighters instinct. he would of served pretty well in modernday 140-147 terms but just wasnt elite, enough skills but just not talented enough

I warch his bout with Basilio, and I just dont see how that was giving to Davy. Sure Chuck took the first 4 rounds, but once Basilio got going, He relly took over and should have won.

The 4 rounds made it close, BUT, it didnt seem right for Chuck to have won that one.

He was exposed by Kid Gavilan ,who at one point turned south paw, [which Davey was], and beat him at his own game.

    No offense at all.

    A mediocre fighter.
