You need to learn to read. Where did I say he was a better fighter than Shogun.

Secondly, Dana said Chuck was done LAST YEAR. If he was done why would you let him continue to fight especially against credible opponents. Its absolutely ridiculous that hes still fighting.

Lou Dibella gave Taylor a choice. Call it a career or I wont promote you. Taylor I think wants to continue to fight but it wont be under Lou Dibella's promotion. And good on Lou, because Taylor has had some brutal KO losses as of late. And to be honest, hes in alot better shape than Liddell.

People are just stupid. "Oh no its Liddells choice." Of course it is, but that doesnt mean he has to fight for the UFC. A "friend" wouldnt let Liddell go out there and get KOd every fight.

You can argue he should've retired after he lost to Evans. Definitely should've retired after Shogun, the fact he got another fight is criminal and Dana should be ashamed of himself.

So what if Liddell went elsewhere. Hes f'king useless as a fighter. Its not like it would make the UFC look bad if he lost. Hes a non-factor.

The UFC is getting more technical every year. The UFC Liddell owned no longer exists. You can't come forward with absolutely no guard, throwing your momentum forward blindly and expect to get the win. He is a KO waiting to happen. Let's face it, Chuck was never that great; he just fought in a very primitive sport... The sport has improved and left him behind.

Fighters are very good at making themselves and others believe they still have something left. White very well might have allowed Chuck to fight again simply for the financial return, but it also may have been he actually believed Chuck was in the best shape he'd been in awhile, and he was determined and focused, etc. Y'know, the usual stuff that fighters say. Usually it ends up not being true, and this was the perfect example.

Look, I'm not going to bend over backwards to defend White. A lot of people are saying that if he was Chuck's good friend like he says he is, then he shouldn't have let him fight. But it might be because of his friendship that he was convinced by Liddell. Definitely a bad decision in hindsight.

Exactly these ****ing clowns shitting on Liddell KNOW NOTHING about combat sports. Show some damn respect for the GOAT at Light Heavyweight, a classy guy and true pioneer for this sport. If i wasnt wor guys like Liddell we may not be talking right now. How dare he get KOed a few times from ages 37 to 40. My favorite part is how every Champion or great fighter he beat just fought him stupid and got lucky :patsch

Apologies , just read it again and clearly your referring to Tito , right ??? as in Franklin more relevant than the proposed Tito fight ??? anyway apologies .

Ok Chuck and Dana , little bit of history here , Chuck and Dana go back to the beginning to when Dana was Chuck's manager , match maker , sparring partner , advisor , and like i said like a Brother !!!! , Dana put everything he had on Chuck , he made him the poster boy of MMA why ??? because he was that good , ok when Chuck began to slide post Evans and Shogun Dana as you rightly pointed out said on multiple occasions Chuck's done , he aint fightin again , now put yourself in Dana's position , Chuck as a best friend comes to Dana and says im serious now im back in shape give me another chance , technically speaking how can he possibly say NO ????? he knows how good Liddell can be , he's been friends with him for several years , Chuck has put his ass on the line for Dana on numerous occasions both in the States and in Japan , how can he possibly say NO !!!!! , that is no resembelance on White and Liddell's friendship / relationship , thats called giving someone a last shot , the day before the fight Dana White said if " Chuck gets KO'd he's not fighting again on my show " . Think its fair to say there now even .

Your comparison to Di Bella and Taylor is actually a good one for pointing out Di Bella is a genuine guy who's happy to make what money comes his way and get his fighters the best fights out there without getting them beaten up and without protecting there 0's , your spot on :good Di Bella is a good guy in boxing , but Di Bella does not have an intimate relationship with Jermain Taylor , he is Taylors promoter and thats where it stops , hence he did what he felt was right because he was emotionally detatched from Taylor , or should i just come out and say they are not friends on the level of White and Liddell therefore it makes it ten times easier , besides Di Bella and Taylor owe each other nothing , the demands Dana placed on Chuck in the early days would of meant Dane feeling he owed Chuck that last chance .

With regards to the match making on this particular fight , if you knew anything about Rich Franklin you would know he's by no means a KO fighter , he's a technical kick boxer who's extremely well rounded and does not have a great KO ratio , especially against his elitle level opponents , he likes to stay long and score points with a varied attack and rarely looks for a TD , therefore your reference that Dana threw Chuck to the Lions by putting him in with Franklin is in accurate , and by Franklin scoring a KO on chuck is actually a really good indication Chuck is done as Franlkin could be placed in the feather fisted bracket ........................ if Dana had given him to someone with heavy hands that would of been lambs to the slaughter , Chuck in his day would of matched up well with Franlkin , as Rich has a tendancy to struggle with heavy handed pressure fighters (Belfort , Wanderlei etc) but as it happens he didnt because Chuck is shot :deal

Chuck was in good shape, was striking and grappling but the guys sharpness and punch resistance are shot. He doesn't have the defence to cover his chin or lack of sharpness. He gets ko'd by any good punch.

People need to stop hating on Chucks record and remember he beat quality strikers and grapplers who are still competing today despite their own advanced age.

Now I don't hate on most fighters, but any clown that says that I or others don/t have a right to talk smack about a fighter..get a clue. Chuck and the other fighters are rich as f*&^ because of people like me. Yes, we pay our money to make Chuck and others rich. So if people want to boo, talk smack..or other stuff..it's there money. Now I for one felt that Chuck shouldnt have been in the ring. Chuck, sold himself to Dana that he was in shape and ready. Which he was. As always with fighters there is one many that a fighter can't beat. And that is Father time. Age gets to all fighters. Chuck still has the punch but hasn't had the chin for sometime now. This wasn't on Dana. Hell Dana try to give Chuck a guy that was made for him in Tito, buy that did work out. So Rich step in and dose have a strait punch that made him a hard fight for Chuck.
