This fight is a head scratcher for me. What has Dana said about it? Jardine is coming off a loss. Chuck says numerous times he doesn't get up for fights if they aren't big.

Is this a good match up? Is it the best match up that can be made, all things considered?

It seems to have gone by pretty much unnoticed.

What do you think of the card?

It's not really worth purchasing, but I may find a live feed. Jardine is not on Liddell's level, but an upset is not outside of the question.

Shogun/Griffin is a mismatch IMO, Griffin is a gate keeper, unless Shogun just shows up not even in shape.

    What else is there?

Chuck has said he doesn't get up for big fights....but this IS a big fight because he is coming off a spectacular KO loss, and another loss at his advancing age could essentially end his days of making the big dough in this sport.
Jardine isn't that good PLUS he doesn't have the skill level to compete with Chuck.
The guy lost to Stephan Bonner for cryin' out loud.

Beating Griffin to me just emphasizes how ordinary, albeit tough, Griffin is.

If Liddell has much problem with this guy, then we should know what direction Chuck's career is heading.

    Liddell KO 2

    Same for Griffin vs. Shogun.

Way different talent level here. Griffin has never faced a guy with the resume of Shogun. And even though I thought he won against Ortiz, ..Tito sucks nowdays.

    Shogun blows this guy out.

Chuck-Jardine is pretty uninteresting to me. But the rest of the card is solid.

Anyone thinking Shogun will just walk through Forrest is in for a surprise. I have little doubt that Shogun will win, but Forrest's tremendous size, cardio, and superior hands will give him fits.

Machia/Nakamura is awesome. Machida is an amazing fighter who just isn't willing to press the action. Nakamura isn't as good as Machida but his non-stop coming forward aggression should make for a great fight.

Fitch/Sanchez is too awesome for words, that will be an amazing fight.

I don't think Chuck has an easy time with Jardine at all.Jardine has good enough stand up to compete with Chuck. I don't consider Chuck's standup "superior" at all so he is no shoe in at all. And as for Griffin-Shogun, of course Shogun is the easy favorite but Forrest at a walking around weight at 240 ish, working with Couture and steadlily improving I can see him giving Shogun a great fight and an upset not out of the question. And for the Fitch-Sanchez fight should be great also, this could be Fitch's real coming out party.V-bookie has him as the favorite.

I like Keith and would be incredibly happy for him to defy the odds and pick up a huge win; and for me seeing Chuck KTFO is slightly better than sex. Plus, the crow Dana will have to eat in interviews if his golden boy's career continues to careen downwards, after all the hype, will be glorious. So I'm not getting my hopes up, but an upset would please me on many levels.

This fight is a Liddell killer. Dana is setting him up against a live underdog so that if Chuck loses..Bye Bye..Anyone knows if Chucks contract is up?

No way, Liddell is gona stay in UFC as long as he wants. He brings in good KO fights. Dana was his manager and supposedly him and Dana are close. If Leben by some miracle is still fightin in UFC Liddell is definitely not going anywhere even if he loses to Jardine. This fight is perfect for Liddell imo, I dunno why people think Jardine's "stand up" has anything on Liddell. Liddell is gona come in and KTFO Jardine.
    This fight is Jardine killer.

Very few people are arguing that Liddell is the clear favorite, and Jardine the clear underdog.

Jardine can be dangerous, however - and Chuck can be knocked out. Disparities in skill levels, or in accomplishments in big fights - don't guarantee anything.

The card is good... although of course I would have rather seen Chuck vs Silva, and Shogun vs Machida as it was supposed to be. After Machida and Silva were out, I would have rather seen them go ahead and throw Chuck vs Shogun.

Even with Shogun fighting Griffin... it would have made a lot more sense to have Chuck fight Houston Alexander.

I am most excited to see Fitch vs Sanchez.

Chuck vs Housten would have been good to see for both guys but Jardine is a UFC favorite and still has decent skill. It should be a good fight non the less with Chuck taking a late ko.

Griffen vs Shogun looks a mis match but Griffen is tough and may surprise a few people. I have Shogun by UD.

The other ights look very good and worth the watch.

Yeah, I think Chuck v Houston is better. Looks like Houston is now set to be hyped/built up.

Chuck has been given Jardine simply to score a KO he would of been better fighting Rashad because Rashad a better fighter and better win on the record. Dana does not want to risk Chuck losing again.
