Chuck vs Shogun announced for UFC 97

Dont be shocked if Shogun stops him brutally and quick for the 1st few minutes Shogun is still as dangerous as anyone and Liddells ass has been glued to the mat for the past 2 years now.

 

Agreed that is also possible as Shogun is very good for the first round. But once he tires his toast.

 

Yeah atleast Chuck has stamina like he showed vs Wanderlei if it gets to the 2nd he probablly kills Shogun. Id probablly favor Chuck no matter what though Shogun likes to apply pressure and thats exactly what Chuck needs. Hes best off using the Wanderlei gameplan but probablly going for a takedown earlier and using up Shoguns gas tank quickly we seen how Forrest and Colemans takedowns had the poor guy gassping for air.

 

All Chuck has to do is make it to the second and the fight is his.

 

Then we get to see yet another Chuck Liddell main event and im not looking forward to it the mans got one foot out the door like Wanderlei who ever he fights top level is going to knock his head clean off.

 

Very true. But he and Dana are close buddies and Dana will do whatever it takes to keep his guy in the mix. The best thing Chuck can do is call it a day.

 

I know Chuck is probably done.. hell maybe shogun too.. but i still want to see the fight.

 

chucks just getting worse and worse shogun this was his return all hes going to do in his next fight is be better. you all need to see that. his knees are still freshly opperated on and he had to baby them threw training. by this time he should be healthier to train harder. as well chuck leaves him self open like we saw in his last 4 fights shogun is going to finish this in the second. wait for see

 

Shogun i believe had reconstructive surgery on both knees. Those kid of injuries are notoriously hard to rehab. Couple this with his bad CV and im sure Shogun is done.

 

I hope not. He is a very entertaining fighter.

 

Shogun vs Chuck should be a good fight. Shogun is coming off a win and Chuck is coming off a devastating KO. A win for Chuck could make a case to move him closer to the top of the rankings. I still think a rematch with Silva would have been another great fight - but as he is coming off a KO loss as well - it would not help Liddell's case to fight him again.

 

I'm not sure you can call Jardine glass jaw...did you see how many times he got hit form Alexander before he went down...same with Wandy they wern't 1 punch ko's they were a barage of punches.

 

chuck would have the edge here. rua is really gonna get ko'd if he doesnt up his game. but i still wish that he would win.
