    Chuck Wepner wins Hvywt Title (Ali fouls him).

    Six months after Ali beats Foreman, Ali fights Wepner.
    (March 1975)

    Assume Ali clowns around, but Chuck does fight aggressively;
    then Ali inadvertantly b@ll shot fouls Chuck.

    Chuck can't continue, and the cards show Chuck leading after 6 (?) rounds.
    NEW CHAMP Chuck Wepner.

    Who should Wepner make his first defense against:
    Ali rematch, Patterson, Foreman, Frazier, Quarry, Norton, Scrap Iron Johnson,
    etc???

    Maybe Randy Neumann, instead of the New Jersey Heavyweight title it would be a world title shot, and what the hell Chuck deserves an easier fight before rematching Ali. Although Newmann might very well beat him, that would really open up a can of worms. :)

    I met Chuck Wepner about a month after the Ali fight. As I shook hands with him, I said "I want to shake the hand that put Muhammad down." He replied "Next time it's gonna be OUT!" I asked him who he would be fighting next and he said "Kenny Norton". I wished him luck, but inwardly I cringed, thinking "Ouch!" Fortunately that fight did not happen. I agree that the Ali rematch would be his best bet - most money and least likelihood of getting hurt bad. And assuming Ali won the rematch, they might have a rubber match - even more $$$

    Well it would make more sense to me after fighting ali he would fight his arch rival joe frazier first, George foreman would probably get a crack at him again though
