Yes the Froch fight was in New Jersey. The NJ commission has a better reputation than NY and CA. Commissioner Larry Hazard and his son Larry junior do a fine job. Larry senior was also a very good referee in the late 1970's, early 1980's. H recall him being the referee in a few Aron Pryor fights and many others I'm sure.

Yep. He knows he's not a draw and so has acted accordingly. Good for him. It's prob the most likeable thing about him.

Andre Ward might be the type of fighter that fights up/down to the level of his opponent. For example the Allan Green fight. Ward should have knocked him out. Even Virgil said that he wasn't impressed in his boy's performance and a fighter of his caliber should of knocked out Allan Green. Virgil Hunter rarely criticizes or makes comments on his boy's performances. But he did in this case.

I remember this fight, but I don't recall if it was prior to or after Green's jury and resultant major surgery?
In the fight, Ward appeared to be carrying Green and allowed him to survive. :smoke

The only person I would totally write him off against within reason is Prime 'Zaggers. But there is no shame there. :deal

I'm on about current DeGale. Not under motivated, injured, green DeGale hidden away on channel 5. He would shatter Ward's fragile mandible if Ward ever came out of hiding in Oakland and got off the sauce :deal

Ward refused to fight Bute in Oakland, not Canada.

Ward has been fighting since... when .... since he was 10 years and then put into a tourney that took several years, So I will guess that gives him the feeling he is entitled to millions and that he has put a good enough work into the sport.

Ward and shame shouldn't be used in the same sentence. The guy doesn't know what that is. He thinks that he is entitled to all possible advantages like fighting at home, having a pocket ref, getting millions for fighting bums.
He sued his terminally ill promoter who did so much for him getting him all those advantages.

Its really not good for the longevity of Ward's body to be carrying bums into the later rounds. Finish the fight and go home and rest up for the next one.

He feel his record as a amateur should be attached to his pro resume. But only the wins and not the loses. If I had to guess I wouldn't be surprised if he thinks he deserves $10 million per fight.
