outboxed the boxer, tremendous head movement, good power, an exciting match that had us on needles. Had it for him 7-5. Made a good name for himself in the US in a very unorthodox boxing environment (Boston). Good luck. It's nice to see UK boxing talent finally being displayed on the world level consistently. Makes me excited to see more Anglo American fights.
Hardly outboxed him. Both awful in the second half - but Dirrel better with the jab and the straight left (Chunky missing with his sloppy slow overhand left) DeGale kicked his ass in the first half to take a CLOSE fight. He cruised for 4 rounds doing nothing...
DeGale is a very good fighter. He's got a very good defense, good power, counters well and he's a pretty smart fighter. I thought he should've pressed the attack more but overall he fought very well.
