Lyle had better skills and mobility, and would have outboxed George. But Chuvalo wouldn't have taken a backwards step against Earnie, and probably would stop Shavers late. Foreman rang Chuvalo's bell, so Earnie certainly could do it, but Foreman was more controlled and effective in following up against a stunned opponent. (Still, Foreman-Chuvalo would have been very interesting had it not been stopped when it was. Foreman was expending an awful lot of energy in that round.) Most likely, Shavers buckles Chuvalo early, then quickly shoots his bolt.
Lyle takes a decision over Chuvalo while Shavers falls victom to him late. That's really about as complicated as this thread needs to get.
