I think the winner of this fatasy bout is a fore gone conclusion. What I would like to know is what is the boards opinions about what Marcianos' chances are of knocking Chuvalo unconscious?

I think that's a good answer, Horn. Chuvalo was as strong as anyone could want a fighter to be. Had balls to spare but couldn't hit hard enough to get anyones attention. Frazier and Foreman stepped to him, I think Marciano could do the same. Stoppage yes. Unconscious no.

I see Rocky busting him up pretty good .. either a wide decision or a cut does it .. not like George who was just much bigger and stronger ..

    Very possibly.
Remember, Quarry busted George up. Breaking a bone around his right eye I believe.

Marciano would have royally busted up Chuvalo...sort of a cross between what Frazier and Foreman did to him. There would be no going the distance for George vs Rocky.

He grant: the one who broke Chuvalo’s eye socket was Smoking Joe Frazier. Chuvalo was in so much pain he turned his back on Joe while in a corner & the referee had to stop it. I was at The Garden in New York when Chuvalo fought Jerry Quarry, and around the 6 or 7th round Chuvalo decked Quarry, and Quarry was on one knee listening to the referre’s count but didn’t get up in time. Quarry later said he lost the ref’s count.

I’m aware. I felt that Foreman was really pounding Chuvalo and over powering him while Frazier was razor sharp that night for their bout and busted Chuvalo up. I see Rocky maybe doing what Joe did but not what Foreman did.

I would actually say this would be marciano's toughest fight. I remember hearing marciano trained chuvalo, maybe that's just a rumor.

Marciano was the more skilled of the two, maybe even more powerful, and he was harder to hit clean, they both wernt very fast with their hands or their feet, chuvalo has the size advantage and the better chin. I could see chuvalo knocking down rocky early maybe even twice but getting stopped later on cuts in the far later rounds.

    It could n
It could be a tough fight for a while and I agree that George may have even been a bit stronger but Rocky was much better .. I just see him pulling away .. as far as a KO , like he did to say a Layne, a long shot .. Chuvalo is the granite chin icon for a reason .. it is always a possibility but highly unlikely ..
