His pad work looked a bit odd to me. He's got good hands heavy hands even. But the focus of pad work is to work precision and combinations. I guess he was playing to the crowd. From a boxing purist perspective id like to see him a bit tighter with his hands highere but his striking works very well in MMA.
im telling you, if JDS gets a shot at the title he'd split lesnars skull down the middle. assuming brock beats cain, dont get me wrong i like brock and all but out of all the UFC champions brock is the most beatable. and with the HW division getting more and more talented its only a matter of time. if its one thing we got out of the carwin fight lesnar cant handle someone with good standup, and who better then JDS for that?
:thumbsup Thats why Dana's been stalling on JDS's title shot for some time. He wants to make some money out of his cash cow. And what with no rankings and all... well you know the rest.
Duh. No **** Sherlock, he would beat the **** out of anybody on the forum in about 2 mins. Doesn't make his wife attractive just because JDS could beat our ass.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8yrFQQFMh8[/ame] Bump because Cigano is a bad mother****er and for new Open Workout vid. Edit - Watching it now myself and am noticing what someone brought up in the comments is the guy who edited this video did something which is annoying as **** where he edited in Junior saying, "I'm Junior dos Santos and you're watching MMAHeat." So, a warning to everyone... it's annoying and only bearable because it's a cool vid to see Junior throwing hands.
I'm about halfway through it now and as Joe Rogan would say... GAD DAMN, SON! Cigano is a killer with those hands! Technique is crisp, he's got some snap in those punches and **** he's fast! Just.... **** he's fast! Unless your name is Alistair Overeem (and even that's maybe not enough) you'd be absolutely positively out of your mind to want to trade punches/strikes with this guy.
Ack, I did forget to mention that. Probably because I was watching the whole thing and enjoying it and wasn't overly anxious to see just one part. It's cool to see a fighter in their element, with their team and their routine. It was cool watching him shadow box to warm up a bit and the pad work was just sick! Also... some freakin' smokin' hot chicks watching. $5 says they walked home moist.
I also enjoyed watching all of it he has some really good hands there and they are fast, faster than most of the HWs heck even most of the LHWs and lord smite me now if they dont pack some real power. The dude has a good body he doesnt pack that Fedor gut
Still awesome. I always wonder whats gonna happen when he gets tagged a few times really hard. He likes to keep his head up and hands down a touch. I understand it is his style to look open and invite attacks which he punishes. He is an improved version of Chuck Liddell. His whole style is based on looking open while ad******g his timing and range to land fight ending blows. His boxing is much better than chucks and so far he seems to have comparable grappling skills to fend off attacks thus allowing him to **** people up.
