I was looking forward so much to Cintron vs. Williams. I am so pissed he got hurt and pulled out. I mean, I guess there was nothing he could do but still, I think that fight is a great matchup.

As for him calling out Margorito and Cotto, that is just bull****. He pulled out of a unification bout, a fight that was good for BOXING as a sport. A pivotal matchup crucial to the careers of both cintron and williams that would have catapulted the winner into a universally recognized top tier status of the likes of cotto and mosley and Mayweather.

After all that is said, he has a Mandatory! Joshua Clottey is knocking on his door and this clown has to make a title defense before he starts calling people out. If he really wants to prove himself, put his belt up against clottey, the number one contender and then challenge margarito again and then if by some miracle he makes it through both of those fights with all of his vital organs intact, challenge cotto during the latter half of 2008. Jake Lamotta and SRR fought twice in less than 20 days, you want to be a real champ, get out there and fight.

As for his potential rematch with margorito, SUICIDE. I just watched Cotto-Mosley and the undercards again and even though Golden Johnson was a tomato can, Margorito looked like a man on a mission. I agree with the person prior to this post who said margorito might be on the verge of a warpath, the guy looked real good and that is the last thing Cintron needs because the kermit is all skill but lacks the heart of a champion.

As for his comments about cotto, this is purely to hype himself up and draw publicity. He knows cotto has better things on his agenda and that he doesnt have a chance of fighting him. He just wants those comments to generate publicity after he let down the boxing public by pulling out of the unification match up with Williams.

I personally think that if Cintron wants to be a true champion, and do what is best for himself and boxing, he will try to get that unification bout reset with williams later this year and defend his title against Clottey first. That way both fighters come into the bout with a title defense already in 2008 assuming williams beats quintana and cintron gets past clottey. That would make the unification even bigger and the fight would be hyped more.

 

I don;t want to see this fight at least not for a while Cotto has bigger fish to fried on PBF...Cintron needs to revindicate himself against Margo...

I would like to see PW and Cintron get at it at the same time Cotto v PBF is happening, then have the showdown of Cintron v Cotto if they both win..huge if...

 

That would be a good fight, TWO PR fighters. Two titles, would help Cotto in his build up to fight Mayweather.

He did..in fact I think was Emanuel who desided to pull out letting me to speculate that Emanuel progress on CIntron has slow down a bit

Hey, if Cotto wants to do what Floyd isn't doing, why not fight Cintron. That would be another top Welter on his record, and perhaps just this once, I'll take Cotto in this one.
