That did NOT make Cintron fly out the ring. Look at the damn video with a magnified glass if you need one [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yj7bRSz9fSA&feature=player_embedded[/ame]#!
I don't buy the jump theory. Williams went down, Cintron already had forward momentum into the ropes, he tripped a little on Williams' outstretched foot, he banged his neck on the corner of the ring apron, and landed awkwardly (hitting a monitor and a chair on his way down). The physics of it are consistent with both of them spilling forward from where they started in the ring. Williams thudded on his butt pretty hard; it stands to reason that Cintron would have enough momentum going to spill out the ropes. What's bull**** about all this, and nobody seems to be talking about it, is going to the cards before four rounds were completed. The bell ringing to start the fourth round doesn't mean the judges should score four rounds. The bell needs to ring to end the fourth round for it to be subject to scoring. One judge had 40-36 PW and one had 40-36 KC. How can they be allowed to score the fourth round?????? As far as the judges should be concerned, there was no fourth round! I can't recall other similar NC situations right off hand, is there precedent for this? Shouldn't there be a cutoff, where if less than half of the round has been counted down the round shouldn't be tallied? They were nowhere near the 1:30 mark.
And how do you know that?? It's called momentum you dumb ****. You've obviously never played sports before.
They score the fourth round because it's in the rules. The round started, therefore they must score it. Pretty common. And, the reason it wasn't a NC is because in California, apparently, four rounds don't have to be fully completed.
Not at the end he ****in jumped out of the damn ring! Why are you trying to defend a ***** like Cintron?
There was no "momentum" on PW's part to make Cintron fly out the ring like that. Get a grip. And stop making **** up to make your weak argument valid.
LordSharp please tell me that isn't you in your avatar. Just double checking before I can take this thread seriously.
If we're scoring partial rounds, my card is 39-37 Cintron (with Kermit sweeping the first three rounds, and of the three big shots that landed right before the incident...PW landed two hard lefts and Cintron landed one hard right...so, Williams round...err, half-round...whatever...) Even though I agree with you that Cintron won the first three rounds, LS, and that he in no way shape or form "jumped", I still can't bring myself around to thinking he was screwed, when the decision going his way would have been just as dissatisfying. There's something to Atlas' obsessive demands that a national commission be formed. That this would be a NC in Vegas but goes to the cards in California is not cool. There should be consistency. That Cintron got hurt in a freak accident is a shame, and this fight deserves to be written off as a mulligan with both fighters given a chance to come back with a fresh slate at a later date.
It's not a 'weak' argument you moron. And if you don't think there was momentum, you really are an idiot.
Why always stupid **** when Cintron fights? atsch It should have been ruled a NC. Some of these judges have been exposed and should be fired too.
