Well I was going to dissect everything you said but i'll just leave it at this... the person in your avatar looks like a ****in joke, and pretty much everything you said in this thread is wrong.

 

Yeah, then he took 4 steps and vaulted himself out of the ring falling softly on to a table and then quit.

Cintron has been a ***** for 5 years now, so this isn't even suprising.

When someones is in forward motion like Cintron was you try to stop that forward motion, you grab for the ropes, you try to stop. Cintron made no effort to do either. Yes, there legs got tangled, but Cintron was not stumbling at a high rate of speed. He tripped and not with enough force to be flung out of the ring.
He landed on his back I did not see his neck hit anywhere, actually his head was raised. Also in another tread Cintron proclaims that "he only had the breath knocked out of him". WHen is the last time you or someone you know tripped and fell down (not from any height) and got the entire breath knocked out of himself? I never seen it happen.

Also, the doc. does not arbitrarilly stop the fight unless the injury is so obviously apparent and bad, like an extreme cut. Cintron had no visible injury so the dr. had to make his decision based on the answers to the questions he asked Cintron. He probably asked Cintron can you move? Are you hurt, where are you hurt? And can you continue? Since the ref stopped the fight based on the docs assessment it is more than likely that Cintron's answers gave the doc the impression that Cintron could not or was not willing to continue.

But what is fishy about it is once Cintron was being carted away, only then did he proclaim he wanted to fight on, when it was obviously too late.

OK...you do realize this was in the span of a second. In the middle of a boxing match. Right? Go do three rounds of sparring at your local gym, then intentionally trip yourself over something - even just lightly - and see how nimble you are, and how able to make snap judgments while falling in the blink of an eye.

Obviously it was with enough force, especially compounded with his stumbling trying to get his footing, which some have somehow interpreted as "jumping".

His neck hit the apron before he landed, just as he came through the ropes. HBO showed one slow-motion replay from a camera that was completely outside the ring and had a clear view from above the ringpost behind where Williams fell. You see Cintron's neck bend as he rolls off the corner of the apron. Then he winds up on his back, once he's clear of the ring altogether.
