Let me clear the confusion and speculation here. Kermit first hurt his hand as an amateur while throwing a right uppercut. He fought with that hand injury all through his amateur career and through his first 24 fights in which he went undefeated and scored 22ko's. He went into the Teddy Reid fight with and injured hand. Did you see the right hands he dropped Reid with? Explosive. My point is in 24fights while th hand was legit. injured... did you ever see him react in the manner he did after the Feliciano fight? PLEASE. This is what Kermit said to himself the moment they stopped the fight. Thank god its over. I WON I WON.... OH **** PAUL WILLIAMS... ohhhhhhhhh my hand. Fall on the floor make it look good! Give me a break.
Keep on training with Manny Steward, and keep lookin worse and worse. It makes Marshall and I look better and better.

Even though you're obviously angry that he left you for Steward I have to agree with you. He faked the injury to have an excuse on why he put on such a poor showing against a 3rd tier fighter with NO power.

Yeah he said so himself but you still have Cintron nuthuggers on here claiming his hand was injured.. a little bruise hardly classifys as an injury that causes you to roll around the ring crying in agony.

It looked to me also that Cintron was faking but I hope he still takes the Williams fight. He can't run from his problems, he has to face them. If you had Cintron again how would you improve him as a fighter?

What does me being angry have to do with it? I am not angry. People have opinions and speculations about Kermit. Well, here is the truth. What I am saying is not me attacking him personally, or my opinion. Its the factual truth. I have long since gotten over being angry. I have moved on and am devloping an extremely talented amateur that I will be turning pro next year. There is nothing I could say that could make things worse for Kermit then his own actions and performances in the ring.

The way you explained how he went from the knockout, to the joy, to the my hand hurts is flawless. Both I and my friends was shocked, we first thought he had hurt his hand in celebration:huh, but turns out it was a "late reaction" of some sort? You never know, Samuel Peter broke both his hands against McCline and.. well, you get the point :thumbsup
I don't get it how Kermit dissed you and Marshall after many years, and he lived with you for three years for free, got fed and trained? I'd have been like a son of yours after those years, if it's that easy to drop a loyal friend, it's just that easy to drop his belt.

Well, I would just go back to doing what we did to get him to where we was when he ko'd Reid, and continue from there. He was still learning at that point and had plenty of room to improve, but after the Reid fight he lost the desire to challenge himself.
The real problem is Kermits mental weakness. He ha the physical tools to overcome anybody from 140-154. I don't doubt that for one bit. If he had Cottos mental make-up he would be unbeatable. But he doesnt, and thats something you just cant teach.

WOW you are the first person that actually gets it. We were like family. At least Marshall and I thought so. He was involved in family functions, and we went everywhere together. For me he was like a younger brother, and for Marshall more like a son. We all had a great time together outside the gym. Which I feel was part of what made us so successful. In all honesty I am more disappointed in losing someone I felt I was so close to. The ease with which he turned on us was disturbing. Its something I will never understand. When I put myself in his shoes and think about how I would have reacted is when I really get frustrated. Can any of you imagine someone coming into your life at a point when you had nothing and that person believes in you so much that they invest time, money, and heart into you, and they say "here i am gonna make it possible to pursue your dream 100% with no distractions." Thats like something you see in a move.

:good That's why I never was big Cintron fan, when the going gets tough, he looks for the easy way out. He put the blame on you instead of examining himself and working it out.

Man, I am sorry to hear that, sounds like Kermit is as fake as Pamela Andersons tits... I know that you and Kermit obviously were close, so I know you're not going to say anything disrespecting about him on here, obviously. But I do know what you feel, and it must suck...do you have a contact at all these days? (Other than him taking shots at you and Marshall in media?)

No we do not have any contact. When we do run into eachother in public he puts his head down or looks away.

Bro, it sounds like you had a Kevin Rooney/Mike Tyson kind of relationship, it really reminds me of that. I remember a few fights where Marshal would hug him and whisper something to him, just like Rooney did with Tyson.
I'm sorry to hear all that **** bro, I hope you never experience that again with any fighter in the future, people on here think you're pissed because you lost a fighter, and with that money and fame, but I see what you lost is a friend and a brother. Sounds to me that you and Marshal where working on quite a masterpiece and then just out of nowhere got ripped of a dream.

    Must suck big time...:-(

Really sorry to hear that. Bad form on Cintron's part. Of all the fighters who change trainers, I rarely see it work for them. It seems like the done thing in boxing these days. BLame the loss on the trainer, instead of working with them to improve your game and fix your mistakes. As for the hand injuries, Jeff Fenech used to do 12 with 2 broken hands. I am sure Cintron can manage with a bruised knuckle FFS.

Manny may be a good advisor and trainer, but what he must respect is that 50% of a fighters training is mental preparation more than anything, it's about getting into war-mode, leaving everything out and having nothing other than victory on your mind. Seems to me that Mannys schedule is so full, he can't bother less about mental strength/preparation in most of his fighters, not saying all of them.
Kermit should've stayed with his old team, just like Mike Tyson should've, just like Jermain Taylor should've.. just like Kelly Pavlik does.

MAn you can't imagine. We went so far above and beyond as trainers and managers. Thats what really sucked. We didn't even take money from Kermit until he signed with Main Events which was after 13 fights. Lise at the end of the day we all wanted to make money. Unfortunately wwe all have bills to pay and lives to lead. WIth all the time and money I put in Kermit I didn't even break even.
