I don't know, that was a pretty spectacular finish. As explosive and bizarre as it was, Nwodo's last stand was a little anti-climactic as he was basically out on his feet the whole round. And I missed the Nonito fight, but I've seen the part where Vic got starched, and it was pretty sweet.

But this was damn near perfect. A pinball KO, if you will...bounced him off one glove, onto the other, and through the canvas. Truly brutal stuff.

In what order would you rate the three?

In my book, I've got 4 finalists narrowed down thus far:

    Ding-Nwodo
    Cintron-Matthyse
    Donaire-Vic
    Andy Lee- Carl Daniels

I agree with you about Ding-Nwodo being a little anticlimactic because EN was out for basically the entire round- spectacular KO nonetheless though. Check out Lee-Daniels if you can. Lee jabs, then shows another jab- but turns it over into a ****ing devastating hook which Daniels didn't see coming. That was a scary one with how Carl's head bounced off the mat- he was out before he could even fall properly.

I picked Ding-Donaire-Cintron for simple reasons.

Ding was losing in that last rounds and he pulled it out with one of the wickedest left hooks I have ever seen.

Donaire because he was suppose to be a walk in the park. he was suppose to lose, and BOOM one shot its over.

Cintron was the house guy, he was put in with this guy too look good, but it was suppose to be abit tougher fight.

Going purely on the punches though, I think each was better than the one before it. The first of Cintron's punches had Matthyse out, the second just expedited his gravity ride. That was a scary combo that dented both sides of Walter's skull.

Nonito's punch may have had a little less spank on it, but was still perfectly crisp and sublimely timed. He had Vic's number and he knew what to do with it.

Ding deserves all the credit in the world for pulling out an amazing win, and at the time I was sure nothing could surpass it as KOOTY. But stacked against the other two, the punch itself was just a textbook hook from a big, powerful guy landed on an opponent that at that point was no longer intelligently defending himself.

All three knockouts were brilliant and featured devastating punches. But in terms of p4p speed, power, and brutality of the finishing shots themselves, I stand behind my voting of Cintron, Donaire, and Wilson.

Problem is you cant really take one away from the other. The situation adds excitement to the knockout. Not much excitement in Cintrons. When a fighter is losing a then gets a knockout its more exciting. Plus Ding and Donaire was one shot, BOOM lights out. Cintrons was really about a round beatting.

I gotta agree to disagree here, I think all three were exciting. And (can't speak on Darchinyan-Donaire until I see the whole thing) the Wilson and Cintron fights were exciting on the whole, in very different ways. For the whole fight Cintron was in control and it was like a tense hunt where you knew something incredible was on the precipice but didn't know it would arrive so suddenly or with such ferocity (starting with the first of the 2nd round KDs). Ding-Nwodo was just sustained back and forth action with both guys thinking well on their feet and making adjustments and showing incredible chin and heart.

My vote stays even if you don't extract the punches from the contexts, my point was moreso to show that even if you do narrow it down to the pinpoint moments themselves, under close examination each knockout-of-07 candidate featured more brutal punches than the previous.

Hm, that's just showing up as a white box :huh

Ok, looking at it now with the code on it I think maybe if you just narrow the it down to the string of letters at the end and get rid of the url it should work.

    Yep that does it! :p

I think the best KO was the Donaire one. He had vic doing the "Raging Bull" lol. It was as sharp a left hook as ever, and he caught Vic leaping in.

The Ding left hook was just powerfull and deadly, but Nwodo was laying there ready to take it.

Cintron one was nice as well, but it was a combo and not a one punch KO. I mean, the guy was out after the left hook pretty much, but he needed that straight right to put him down and out.

Needed the straight right? It followed the hook in the blink of an eye, Matthyse simply hadn't had a chance to begin to fall yet. His eyes were already closed!

interesting, pretty varied results. the leading option is the exact opposite of mine, but that's ok. :yep as i've said every one of these was very easy to appreciate, and very hard to compare definitively with the others.

Ding's was the best if ya ask me. Not just because of how devastating it was, but also how it came about.

He had just tied it up (on my scorecard at least...and pretty much every other one I had seen) the round before that by dropping Nwodo for the second time. Its not like it came out of nowhere (he had hurt him hurt on a few occasions), but lets just say, he needed it more....he dug down and he got it.

Plus, Ding is a great guy, a forum regular and OUR CHAMP!!!! And I mean, he did knock him the **** out!!!

    All three were amazing tho!
