A rematch between IBF welterweight champion Kermit Cintron and former WBO titleholder Antonio Margarito has been signed for the Miguel Cotto-Alphonso Gomez card planned for April in New York City. Should Cotto beat Gomez, the winner of Cintron-Margarito will likely face Cotto in July. HAHA Cintron is doomed!
This is a great fight. And it's gonna be on the UNDERCARD of the Cotto-Gomez mismatch... Margarito-Judah was a great fight too. And you know what? Even if I'd like to see Cintron against Margo again (you can guess why is that ) I think Margo-Judah would've been a FOTY type of match-up. So maybe later in the year I'd like to see that too. But what a great card it's gonna be. Margarito-Cintron is a great fight and the Cotto-Gomez 'overcard' is a good fight.
Gonna be a great great fight to watch. Can nevber go wrong with Cotto and both Cintron and Margarito are usually fun to watch. If only the casual boxing fans could get turned on to this card. Watching cards like these would greatly help the sport.
I don't even like Margarito, but I can't wait to watch him destroy Cintron. I remember a lot of people hopping off the Kermit bandwagon after he got Margaritowned and cried like a ***** afterwards... But then after Cintron came back from a hiatus, he KOs that stiff Matthyse, and suddenly people think he can beat Margarito now.. Talk about overhyped over one KO.. They thought he was this changed fighter, that Manny had "fixed" him. Feliciano proved he hasn't improved a thing. Pressure fighters still own him. Him and Manny both know this.. that's why they pulled out of the Paul Williams fight :deal I don't have any clue why they'd want Margarito again though.. must be the revenge factor... Margarito is going to make him his ***** once again.. Sucks for Clottey though. He gets shafted again.
williams out in the cold as well. :-( shame we aren't getting to see margo-judah. i was looking forward to seeing judah beaten up again. :yep
does this meen cintron is gona get stripped of the ibf title? if so williams should fight clottey for unification!
