I'd pick Berto on points, but not outta the question for Cintron to stop him.

Berto is much faster and is a better boxer but i'll give cintron the puncher's chance. I can see him putting berto to sleep if he lands a solid shot on berto's face.

This would be a potentially great fight. I'd go with Berto by late stoppage.

hugging session anyone? I dunno Cintron has a huge size advantage and reach but berto is quick with his jab and combos. I just dont see Berto as an inside fighter. Cintron UD

This fight makes a lot of sense and I hope it happens soon. I was at the fight last Saturday and both guys were well supported. They're both also promoted by Dibella which should make it an easy negotiation. I'd favor Berto by UD. His speed and slickness would probably win over the judges.

You could not give way tickets to this fight.....Cintron could not put down a smaller and less experienced Angulo and Berto put people asleep in his last fight.

Berto is the better of the two but neither of the two can draw people to watch them fight.

I was a bit simplistic but this fight would have no impact

you call that a crowd.....you must think that Seminole Hard Rock Hotel is a great venue as well for a title fight in the welterweight division.

To tell you the truth it wouldn't surprise me if Cintron caught Berto with something big and knocked him the **** out. Judging from some of Berto's last few fights he isn't terribly hard to hit, and he doesn't take the best punch in the world as we've already seen him dropped and hurt despite the fact that he's never been clocked hard by a devastating puncher.

Although in that same breath I'd tell you that it also wouldn't surprise me if Berto managed to pull out a UD... inetersting fight if it ever comes off.

I know people think "Hey, they're both Dibella fighters so the negotiations should be easy".. not so fast.

Berto is Dibella's potential cash cow. He's not going to just throw him in there with a dangerous puncher like Cintron, despite the fact that Cintron is a Dibella fighter too. This fight just isn't going to happen IMO.

But if it were to be somehow signed, I might actually have to lean towards Cintron... based on both fighters' last performances. Cintron performed well above my expectations while Berto performed well below. And Berto has been hurt by the non-puncher Cosme Rivera, so he may be sleeping after a Cintron straight right hand.
