..............Nah. Cotto is too fast and too well-schooled for the relatively pedestrian approach Margarito would present. Cotto takes that one.
Bring on Cotto vs Margarito. Man Margarito made Cintron look like a B level fighter... an espn fighter. Cintron's corner was quiet in between rounds, like they knew it was only a matter of time. I felt bad for Cintron although I did root for my bro Margarito.
..........I think Steward may be losing the thread a bit. He has to be given credit for taking a number of fighters to great heights some 20-25 years ago, but he seems to be on a bad streak now. I'm not ready to necessarily bury the guy as a trainer, as the connection between fighter and trainer is an intricate and delicate thing; perhaps the guys coming to him simply just don't have the stuff to get the job done. Sometimes, ya just gotta blame the player. Cintron is just a ****ing mess. He is not a professional fighter. He should retire now; he doesn't have what it takes, and it would serve him well to recognize that early.
I can see Manny Steward throwing chairs in the lockeroom going "THIS FIGHT WENT EXACTLY LIKE I PREDICTED!" and whining.
