Just before he was thrown in jail, Ayala was fierce. That guy would have knocked Cintron out. The talk at the time was, Ayala would be matched with Davey Moore or Roberto Duran. Either of those guys would have given Ayala a good lesson. Ayala's legend is that he got incarcerated just as he was embarking on a tremendous career. He was looking good, but he eventually would have got exposed. Still, Cintron wouldn't have the stuff to beat Ayala.
Ayala would have the added charge of inflicting cruel and unusual punishment while committing a murder.
