Cintron actually threw himself out of the ring! Once again Cintron proves he is weak mentally and does not have the heart to be a fighter. Thats a shame a fighter blessed w/such power and he is such a mental weakling. If you notice Cintron started professing he wanted to continue only after they had put him on the stretcher and put the neck brace on. He made no effort to get up, he did not even try to turn around. As a legal right a person has the right to refuse treatment, a doctor can't force you not to get up or not to continue, the dr. can't force you to accept treatment. All Cintron had to do was get up or say no thanks. He just laid there as if he fell from a 10th floor of a building, when he only fell onto the table. At first I thought he also fell to the floor, but the replay showed he landed on the table and that was it, not nearly enough to injury himself, he did not hit his head or anything. So I do not agree to give him the benifit of the doubt especially when you look at his history. In the Martinez fight he had a mental meltdown and in both Margarito fights he did the same. Whining, complaining to the ref, turning his back away. This is just aniother example that he is a baby. If you can't get up and continue in a fight you were doing well in after such a minor fall then you should not be in the sport, he should just quit. His trainer Ronnie Shields should quit in protest of this embarrasing stunt. I am convinced this is why Manny Stewart refused to continue to train him. His promoter should drop him like a bad habit. He was complaining that after his win against Angulo how HBO brushed him off and had Angulo continue fighting on the network. Well now he knows why. Smart move by HBO.

Hell, I used to enjoy watchingv him fight and hoped he could turn his career around so we could have another good welterweight, but after this stunt everyone should treat him as if he is toxic

Yes, Cintron was winning the fight. No way would a fighter fall out of the ring and hit his head on a monitor on purpose. Looks like Williams still owns the judges, just like the damned Martinez fight. Williams looked like crap!

He wasn't faking - but damn - he used to be a wrestler - he should be able to take a fall better than that.

A fighter like Cintron would. Again, Just look at his history and how he reacts to adversity. He falls apart. Also you ask why would a figheter not cont in a fight he might be winning. Well you never know what a person is thinking. Maybe, he felt Williams coming on taht round (even though I thought Cintron landed a good right hand in the 4th) ,maybe he thought he could get an easy win this way since he thought he might be winning, who knows. But one thing is I do not believe he was hurt at all. If he was he wold of not been complaining like he was after he was already strapped into the stretcher. He said he was alright, he said he wanted to continue. So right there tells you he was not hurt. The problem is he laid there not moving, not making any attempt to move or get up. Only after it was too late did he make a claim he wanted to go on and that he could go on. Either he wanted to quit or he thought he could get an easy win. Just look what he did get away with in the Martinez fight. He was knocked out, and he played the same games, and he got away with it. The fight was called off because he was ko'd, then he rested for a while, then he made a big stink about it and they let the fight go on after a long interruption. The end result is he came away with a draw, in a fight he clearly lost. If you ask me this situation is not much different. He was looking for an easy way to win and it back fired. He is another Luis Santana.

He said he wanted to continue the fight . the doctors overruled him. it is bull**** and a bad break for Cintron. Direll is the actor, not Cintron.

Once Cintron was strapped down on the gurney for dear life, he wants to fight. LOL! Do you really believe once Cintron was strapped down the doctor was going to let him get back in the ring? :rofl Cintron knew exactly what he was doing.

You have to look at when he said he wanted to continue. he said he wanted to cont. after it was too late. After he was put on the stretcher, after they strapped him in, after they put the brace on. The time to say he wanted to continue was prior to all of this. Another incident like the MArtinez fight where he got ko'd, then rested, then, complained and got away with it. MAy be he thought he could do it again. He has the right to refuse medical treatment, its not enough to say I want to continue, he should of shown it by his actions, getting up. He is a disgrace.

Ummm. . .yes, the MD can prevent you from continuing even if you want to go on. Vitali-Lewis any1?. Cintron wanted to continue. . .and, yep, sure enough he was crying as he was being taken out on the stretcher. Really makes no diff when he says he want to continue if he's already on the stretcher or not. Who gives a **** when he said it? Unfortunately, the MD has the last word and overruled Cintron.

yes it matters if he wouldve gotten up quickly and back on the ring the doctor wouldve let him continue but if he statys in the ground crying like a biatch complaining that he broke his back the doctors are going to take the necessary precautions and not let him continue and after he was sure that was the case then he starts screaming i want to go on.. **** him and his ***** ass he should retire he'll never be a champion...

Well, yes you can refuse treatment (I am a lawyer I know). The dr. can give his opinion to the ref and the ref is the one who is supposed to call off the fight based on the dr's opinion. Cintron could of just said I do not need any medical treatment. So yes the dr. could of informed the ref that its best to stop the fight, but they can't force you to accept medical treatment w/o your consent (unless your unable to give consent and its a life threatening situation). So all Cintron had to do was say no!

Usually the dr. asks you if you can continue. He does not just tell you for no medical reason you cannot continue. Of course it matters when he says he wants to continue. If he got up and said I want to continue. They would of let the fight go on. If he says I want to continue when he is already in the ambulance, the fight would not of been called back on. Its more likely the dr. made his decision based on Cintrons answers to his questions. THis says alot. You can infer from this that the Cintron told the Dr. he was hurt, he could not get up, etc. You could point to his posture and lack of any attempt to move or get up,that will back my theory up.
Plus the dr. is not going to say don't move unless you give him a reason to say that. Its more likely the dr. first asked can you move or where does it hurt. Then you can conclude by Cintron's actions when he pointed to his back that he is the one that told the dr. he was hurt and could not get up. This is logical. The dr. then would say don't move based on Cintron's answers to his questions.

Whats makes Cintrons actions fishy, based the above theory, is he started to say I can fight, I want to continue, banging his fists. This was after the fight was called off. Again the dr. would of based his decision on Cintron's responses to his questions. Since the dr. suggested the fight should be called off you can infer that Cintron told him he was hurt and could not continue. But then Cintron slips up by professing he wanted to continue only after he was strapped in the stretcher.
