If Williams sits on his punches and keeps his head moving, Williams may win. But I would put money on Cintron by knockout just b/c he has that monster right hand and Williams is a southy and Cintron can land it. If he does it would be brutal as Williams dangles his chin at times. Just b/c he boxed margaritos ass up dont mean the same will happen with Cintron as Williams would put more pressure on Cintron and try to hurt him with his own punches. Tough one to call. Can truly go either way.

What a tough match up for both fighters. Cintron has the power, but would he even have a chance to use it? I can imagine that Cintron would have those freakishly long reaching punches in his face all night long. Williams has a good chin and excellent stamina. All that talk about him fading in the 12th round against Margo was completely exaggerated. And imo, Cintron is having some crazy hype going his way for a single knock out of a Mathyse that Williams utterly destroyed before Cintron even got to him.

I agree with all of this. It can go either way, but if I had to pick right now, I'll say Cintron. Williams has advantages, if he uses them, he will win by UD.

Cintron is overrated! Williams has already beat Cintron's daddy(Margo). He is going to get embarrassed once again. Hopefully he won't cry this time.

    CINTRON.

Unlike Taylor, Cintron has actually taken to Steward's instruction. The shortcomings that helped do him in against Margarito have been addressed. I think Cintron takes this and rather easily.

ive heard you say this a few times now, and ive responded the same way each time, and not ever gotten a response from you, and then you go on and say the same thing again in another thread. so here it goes, hopefully you feel like responding this time... first, have you seen any cintron fights besides Marg and Matthysse? if you had, you would have seen that Teddy Reid pressured Cintron and cintron KO'd him, and this was before marg. Estrada pressured him and Cintron KO'd him. Suarez pressured him, and Cintron KO'd him. The idea that cintron cant handle pressure can only come from the margarito fight, and im not even sure i was the pressure that is what actually bothered him that night.

Also, the crying thing is old. a guy thought his career was over and he showed emotion, i.e. being a human being. football players cry all the time. get over this!

Not sure where you formed that idea, because i think that is the biggest weakness that Pwil has. he does stand there, right in front, to throw all those punches. That's why marg was able to get to him in the later rounds. This wont hurt him agains PBF, but agains a power guy he is gonna get hit hard.

    Hardly.

Paul Williams if anything has alot of durability. But Margarito's wear down power was getting to Williams late in that fight. And Margarito probably threw a historical low over the course of 12 rounds. He went in there trying to knock Williams out with one punch and it didn't work.

Bottom line is Cintron has scary power at 147. Margarito fought the fight of his life to win the upset over a green Cintron back in 2005. He kept his chin tucked, didn't take chances and picked his shots carefully.

Williams btw also doesn't hit particularly hard. A man who is really a middleweight draining to welter has a small amount of energy to go on. Sure he throws 100 punches a round, but they are all powder punches. Nothing that will drop you on one blow. Matthyesse if anything was as gassed as he was hurt by Williams. Cintron laid Matthyesse out like a pro should have.

I have seen Cintron up against guys like Suarez (another big welter) and his power was just devastating. Suarez had never been hurt or down and Cintron obliterated him.

Margarito as you should know doesn't hit near as hard as Cintron does punch for punch. It takes Margarito some work to knock his opponents out. Which is why for the life of me I still don't understand what he and his corner were thinking by trying to one-punch Williams.

Anyways Cintron will find Williams just like others have. And when he does land he's gonna hurt Williams.

you are a loon.....williams is actually very slippery. not every one of his ounches has serious intention, he throws them to fluster his opponent. if you watch more than 1 p/w fight you'll know that he has good defense.

True. But I also expected Margarito to fight like he has shown historically. Which he didn't. All he did was wait to land one big punch. And granted, he did land some crushing punches which the crowd at ringside mentioned. But overall they were few and far between.

Had Margarito done what got him there, which is throw 100 punches a round himself, Williams' huge weight drain would have been a more significant factor.

As with anything boxing, predictions will only take you so far. If a guy goes in and does completely the opposite of what you expected, there goes the prediction.

i got williams in this one. this fight is gonna be huge, finally we dont have two old bums fighting eachother or one old bum vs. a young guy. these are probably two of the best upcoming welterweights out there.
