I felt the exact same way... He had 2 rounds.... 1st was definitely his... other was his but he didnt dominate it so you know Paul will get the nod... and the third.... it was pretty even so its a pick em round.... but still that shouldve been a NC.
what you saw is a lot different then what i saw.. is one thing what you say and another thing what you do,,, kermit actions throughout his career speak a lot louder than his words.. so he can say im out to prove im a force in boxing but then he pussies out and looks for a way out.. he has no heart or balls is been proven :hat
i thought cintron was winning all 3 rounds up to that point that jump looked pretty ******ed why he couldnt grab the ropes? its hard to say if it was a dive, just looked stupid to me
I had it 2 rounds to 1 for Kermit, and of course I hadn't scored the 4th yet (would be a even round on my card then). But they both shouldn't have won it. I've seen not many bouts where a NC was so at it's place as this one. Rematch I say, but apparently Williams wants no part of that.
Here's the truth. They way he fell out of the ring looked insane and weird. I remember watching it and thinking -- did that really just happen? Did he really need to fly through the ropes like that? But despite his sorry bitching in the Martinez fight, I give him the benefit of the doubt. Why would he feel the need to find a way out of a fight in which he was being VERY effective and in which he had really not been hit solidly? It doesn't make sense. So I give him the benefit of the doubt. But Paul Williams didn't "trip" him. They got tangled up and there may have been a little centrifugal force at play. But it was no one's fault. Personally, I thought Cintron was winning the fight, even though Paul was starting to heat up (though not so much that Cintron would need to find a way out.) But who I think won isn't important. I'm pissed about two things: 1) A dumb-ass California ruling that turns a circus like that into a scorable fight. 2) The fact that I sat down on Saturday night to suffer through Floyd's easy victory just to get to a showdown that ended before my first beer. Let's get a rematch. And make sure to put thick mats around the outside of the ring.
The fourth round may be scored even with point deduction for Cintron for being knocked out the ring and point deducted from Walliams for pushing Cintron while faking falling down.
What are you talking about? "Williams wants no part of that?" Did you not see Paul heating up in the 4th Round like business as usual? was Paul the one who left the ring and couldn't continue? Paul ain't scared of no Cintron!!! He personally wants to fight him again. But you have to understand Goosen doesn't want to have to promote a fight against Kermit where all the talk is gonna be about the "frogjump." He would much rather fight a bigger fight. Can yu really blame him if you look at it from his perspective?
According to the doctor, Cintron was asked if he could fight on and twice said no, then when the fight officially ended and went to the cards, he started claiming he wanted to go on.
