What do you guys think about him? I always thought he had a lot of talent and natural ability but when it all falls down I don't think he has what it takes. Many of us saw his poor performance against Feliciano and it is obvious he can not perform at the rate of say margorito or any volume puncher - he can not stay active. I also think his power is overrated. The man has a long reach and quick hands but I definitely think his power is not what people assume. Cintron needs distance to be powerful and his only devastating shots seem to come at the end of his punches - his inside fighting ability is poor. I also don't really like his attitude. What the **** was with his bitching and complaining after the feliciano fight!!!??? What a baby! Everyone could see him raise his arms in joy, then roll around like a crying baby. I dont care if he broke his hand or not. I've broken both hands and realize that if this guy could go 9 rounds fighting with a broken hand, then all of sudden roll around in agony after the fight - he must be faking or he must just be soft. So there it is ladies and gentlemen, Cintron does not have the heart, superior skills (lucky power), or attitude to be a good champ in my mind. I kind of feel that Steward pulled out of the Williams fight after seeing cintron's poor performance, and the broken hand thing was all a setup. What do you think? P.S. It was ligament damage, not an actual break. As far as his abilities, I love the guy, but he reminds me of Wladmir Klitschko circa 2004, minus the panic mode and weak chin part. What I mean is, he looks the part when someone lets him stay in his zone. He's a nice boxer to watch and looks like he has good fundamentals and great power. However, press him off his game and he's easy to hit. He has open holes in his defense. He'll look unbelivable against the right fighter and badly flawed against the guys who can get to him.
Lots of skills, no heart. He wont become more than a gate keeper at 147. Margarito ruined the kid's self confidence.
Yeah, thats my take. he has the skills but lacks the heart to be elite. totally overprotected since the margo fight. just like he was before the margo fight. in his life, only faced ONE TOP TEN GUY!!!! and that was margo............and he was turned into a *****. end of story.
