    Live on Showtime from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. Middleweight unification, with the IBF & WBA (3rd defense of each by Shields), WBC (6th defense by Hammer), and WBO (13th defense of Hammer) titles on the line.

    Shields is 8-0 (2). Hammer is 24-0 (11) with a three inch advantage in both height & reach. Both have been dropped once in the pros (Shields by Hanna Gabriels and Hammer in her first encounter with Kali Reis). Neither has lost more than a handful of rounds professionally.

    Hammer schools Shields and stops her late. It'll be shocking to people how easily The Ladyhammer deals with her, now will she get the decision if it goes the distance even if she shuts her out, probably not.:ohno

    My only concern is that Shields is, though a thousandfold less skilled, a strong dude...tte, er, yeah, a strong dudette. And the chin has always been a bit in question with the Lady Hammer, ever since getting KTFO by Anne Sophie Mathis and that very dodgy situation where Mathis was disqualified and then upon review changed to NC when arguably it should've been a TKO win in the first place. (and then in her subsequent outing she was dropped clean by Reis)

    Possibly, but in Hammer's defense, like with Oxandia Castillo KOing Hanna, Mathis is very heavy handed, she'd do the same thing to Shields, Hell look what she did to Holly Holm. And maybe the Reis thing was just some residual cobwebs from the Mathis match, that happens sometimes. Regardless, I don't think Shields its hard at all, she's quite frankly proving to be somewhat of a featherfist. Also getting dropped by a tiny Light Middleweight like Gabriels, her chin should be questioned as well.
