Hope Hammer puts her to sleep, Shields lacks any kind of class and I doubt that would change even if she added another few belts to the chip on her shoulder

    Another thing is...

Shields has 8 pro fights. She NEVER scored a KNOCKDOWN ever!!!

She stopped two opponents but both via ref stoppage and both weren't down once in the fight.

She hit that Hungarian girl with some big looking shots and she wasn't going down ffs. LMAO.

Shields isn't hitting hard. Her shots looking explosive but she's pretty much FEATHERFISTED.

Hammer will jab her head off and might stop her with a perfectly timed Uppercut while Shields coming in swinging like ****.

Hammer clearly is the puncher of the two, I doubt Shields has the power to stop Hammer. If anyone is getting KO'ed it's Shields in my opinion. As you say she can get wild at times and swing for the fences leaving herself open. She's a raw fighter which is to be expected having only 8 pro fights.

But I still favour Shields, I think she can get inside on the jab enough to give Hammer problems and Hammer has no inside game as the Mathis fight showed, she'll be forced to clinch and she'll get no favours from the ref in the US. But I hope I'm wrong and Hammer KO's her.

I think Hammers inside game is pretty much underrated. Watch the Nelson fight. She was throwing decent shots at the inside and countered well there.

Hammer was just way, way too big for Nelson, had like a 5 inch height advantage, she just manhandled Nelson and pushed her off to make space for her shots, don't think she'll be able to do that vs Shields or at least not as much without getting caught on the inside.

Hammer has freaking long arms and pretty good timing while Shields swinging and leaving herself open. I think this is a tailor made matchup for Hammer. She has good footwork aswell. Shields hasn't the footspeed or footwork to close the distance all the time IMO. She has no angles in her footwork aswell. She'll come forward, getting countered and jabbed while Hammer leaving the pocket to the left. IMO pretty good matchup for Hammer.
Only thing i am worried about for Hammer is WHAT happens if they're clinching. Hammer looks a bit "too nice" while clinching and Shields is crafty as hell and can do some damage there for sure, she'll fight dirty anyway there.
I think as long as Hammer has good cardio and gas tank she'll outpoint her easily, even at the close distance i can see Hammer landing big uppercuts and shots on Shields who is simply easy to hit.

Shields is one-dimensional brawler with no power at all. She's lacking a sharp jab, footspeed and footwork, angles, she always throwing those short bombs or coming in with wide hooks. Pretty easy to counter for someone with the height of Hammer and her timing and footwork.

On paper this is a pretty good matchup for Hammer. IF she comes in with the game plan AND has the gas tank i can't see her losing to that girl.

I can definitely see the scenario you have described playing out, Hammer is far better than anyone Shields has fought as a pro, I think the size, reach and movement will definitely give Shields problems.

I'm just not sure how Hammer will deal with the speed and physicality of Shields. If Hammer can keep her on the outside then it could be a very frustrating and painful night for Shields but then if she can't maintain distance then I see Shields roughing Hammer up in close and I don't think the ref will be doing Hammer any favours and will penalise her for any clinching.

I'm just hoping Hammer improved her inside game in terms of clinching and fights more dirty & nasty there. Needs to show Shields who is the bigger women in there.
