Shields wants to put a dramatic flourish on this, loading up with KO shots, but that only exacerbates the difference in speed, allowing Dicaire to leap in and clinch while taking less damage than she would if Shields were to settle down and pick her spots as she (kind of) did earlier. That would have been a lot of clinching in a three-minute round of men's boxing - all crammed into the clown-car that is the final two-minute round of a women's championship bout. Shields didn't land anything impressive cleanly on the button - still heavier and more damaging than anything Dicaire got in, though.

Effective fighter, not good boxer. Her skills are still garbage (despite what Trejo was saying to shill for her on this 'historic' girl-power love-in PPV about her showing more thoughtfulness in her work) - for a multiple division titlist, she is bottom of the pile if you open it up and include all the male 3-division champs.

 

She wants a million dollars minimum to cut to welter because she doesn't want to lose what she regards as her luscious booty.
