The commentator mentions that according to BoxRec, only 13 women are ranked professionally at heavyweight in their database.

In like, the world. So being even #1 in that division is fainter praise than being the last place team in the WNBA. :sisi1

(incidentally, Perkins had a reportedly promising career in pro basketball cut short due to a car accident before jumping sports)

30-27 Perkins, started to hammer Harrison, hurting her a few times as she drove her straight back into the turnbuckle with straight combos.

I'm pretty sure your comments represent incurable toxic masculinity. But I agree with them so....

There is nothing even remotely misogynistic in acknowledging the stark reality that virtually nobody on earth cares about women's boxing. At best it has been a curiosity and sideshow attraction (on par with Butterbean) - even then, only during its halcyon days when you had Ann Wolfe and Laila Ali drawing some casual fan interest.

There are some diamonds in the rough, and I have long championed the women's sport and encouraged people to check out the likes of Delfine Persoon, Hanna Gabriel, and Cecilia Brækhus, who are legitimately good (and decent to watch, in different ways) fighers irrespective of gender - but alas. Nobody cares.

40-36 Perkins. I'm with @HamburgBuam - Harrison hasn't won a round and I sincerely doubt the first match could've looked much different, especially if she was weight drained and having issues.

50-45 Perkins, basically wailing on her now, referee Mike Griffin having to have a close look very frequently, could stop it anytime. Harrison (to her credit still flailing with sloppy hook combos all round) in fatigued desperation performs a double leg takedown on Perkins at the bell to kill the last ten seconds.

70-63 Perkins, literally able to just seesaw in & out casually lobbing the same combination over and over and dominating.
