Haters are going to start bringing up her loss in MMA watch.

 

I scored it 8- 2 to Shields last night. Rewatched it this morning gave it 9-1 this time around. Walking forward like a bobbing duck is not enough to win rounds. Pressure is not enough to win rounds. Effective punches landed is what wins rounds. Shields would win easier next time around. I'd love to know the gameplan was in Marshalls corner. Absolute madness

 

Even after the intense storm of the first few rounds, Marshall would have hoped she could hurt Shields at some point and turn the tide. But she couldn't put any kind of dent in Shields. Surprisingly, given how both have looked in previous fights, Shields looked like the more punishing puncher of the two.

 

Crazy how much some fans wrote off a 2x Olympic gold medalist, undisputed champ of 2 divisions, and with 8 (or close to that) title defenses, to an untested puncher.
I thought Marshall had a puncher’s chance, but based off the fight that may have been a generous thought.

I'm a Sav fan- slowly getting my life back together after the trauma of last night. Haven't felt like eating much today. I was looking forward to a Sunday enjoyably trawling Youtube reports acknowledging the new queen of women's boxing and her humbling of that monstrous ego. As it is I can hardly bring myself to go there. Maybe in a week or two.. Sav for BBC Sports Personality of the year anyone?... OK then, maybe not.
