Claressa Maria Shields vs. Savannah Rose Marshall & Mikaela Mayer vs. Alycia Baumgardner RBR.

Marshall abandoned her style completely. Just walked forward and pressured like a maniac and made it easy for the composed Shields. Smothered her work. She came on late but the damage was done.

That’s cause Jab was not good enough she was far slow to be hitting shields with jab shields was laughing at it

Shields is a class boxer but pretty damn feather fisted. Marshall defo shipped way too much punishment in there. Didn’t use her size properly at all.

Most impressive thing in the ring tonight was Hughie’s shirt.

 

Disagree, she didn't land much after 5, Marshall wasn't cleanly landing enough but she was busier in the 2nd half and not enough from Shields coming back for Shields to win those rounds.

 

Had that 8-2 Shields for what's it's worth. Where was this vaunted power from Marshall?

 

Claressa was very smart in the way she smothered Marshall’s punches by coming in close. Took away all of Marshall’s leverage with the punches. There was some genuinely very impressive technical boxing on show from Shields. She is genuine class.

She also tied up Marshall in the clinch a lot which gave her a lot of small breathers, Marshall was trying to get free rather than tie with Shields or push her back more, to get the referee to separate quicker.

That's one weakness I think of Marshall's, she doesn't clinch when she's under pressure, blocks and slips but doesn't clinch.

 

She wasn’t in there with a part time session musician or danish divorce counsellor and she got found out

Shields took punches well but her face was swollen like the elephant Man at end. She says she could not see out of one eye for most of the fight.
