Agree. She always uses her jab, that was abandoned.

Yeah defo. Thats the thing with womans boxing they seem a lot more emotional than the men. With the men sometimes the gameplan goes out the window.....with women it pretty much always goes out the window if they get hit anyway. Its like in their mind they,ve got about half a second to get them back or they,ve lost.

Not sure any tactic would have worked tonight tbf. Shields too fast....if you sit back trying to work your way in she,d still have got off on her with too many imo.

Trying to grind her down in a maurauding style probably as much chance of working than any of them. Would have liked her to take a step back after that first round tho. Tried to diffuse shields attacks before coming on strong as the rounds went on.

Think after the 4th....marshall must have been depleted more than she should have been. Had a good go of it after that....but she was depleted a bit too much to cause any real damage at that point.

Ha, think we've all been watching women getting sweaty and lost our focus. We need eubank to instill some parliamentary procedure

Agree. But that was evident as much because Sav was getting up close too much and Shields was spinning off using speed/,lower centre of gravity to get Sav of balance. If she used the have from outside and made Shields to come in to her she would have took alot of it away from her.

That's what impressed me the most, the heart. The skill and speed is undoubted, but her interview was bang on, you could see when she was under pressure she purposely dug in and notched it up a level.

Was very impressed. Thought she was more mouth. But not at all. She's got the full package I think.

No shame for SM losing that bout, but she didn't look great tonight. Which is a shame.

Marshall smothered her own work. Constantly too close were the other one wanted her. Probably seen Mayer lose and thought I’ll have to do something different here.

I used to like him. Was one of the better ones but since he threw the towel out of the ring and carried on letting that boxer take a beating I think he’s lost the plot. What came of that anyway? How did he get away with that!?

Marshall just got overhyped Lbh. She wouldn’t have won what ever style she fought.

Bit like when England inevitably go crashing out the World Cup in a couple of months and loads of people are surprised.

Shields is a better reactive fighter up close. If Sav hit her with snappy double jabs she would have had to be pro active to try and close the gap and get shots off (instead the bigger fighter closed it for her.) They would have created more openings for Sav, as Shields closed the gap.

Well Shields won first 4 at a canter. I think Sav might have pipped 5,6,7. But clearly lost first 4.

I wanted Marshall to win , multiplied after the ringwalks, shields was class tonight though, Peter Furys corner work ( that we heard ) was abysmal .
