10x2" rounds for the vacant IBF & WBA female middleweight titles. A rare unification match for two vacated titles, with neither combatant holding a belt heading in. The co-feature of the Showtime card will be Christina Hammer vs. Tori Nelson for the other two major org (at least the recognizable ones transcending gender from the men's aisle; women's boxing has a few other sanctioning bodies that have served as more or less proxies historically for the "Big 4", until recently) belts: the WBO & WBC. I think Gabriel will by far be the best p4p opponent Shields has faced to date, and the superior boxer in this match-up. Shields, however, is probably WAY too big for her (she's coming down from super middle, where she's already on the large side; Gabriel is a career super welterweight) - and Gabriel's one loss was by KO to a smaller facsimile of Shields in terms of imposing raw physical strength and relentless aggression, in Oxandia Napoleón "She-Wolf" Castillo. While the Costa Rican did avenge that loss with a UD last autumn, the US Olympian dwarfs her (Castillo is a just slightly overgrown welterweight) and has loads more athletic talent.
