She does have 2 gold medals doesn't she? Forgive me, when I say best boxer I mean she will defeat anyone put in front of her. I stand by that

Nothing wrong with seperating ability from personality; and I'd agree that fans can sometimes allow the latter to influence their assessments of the former. It's easier for people to make the distinction in non-contemporaneous cases, I think, because [insert vintage fighter] isn't in their face, his exploits are the stuff of biography.

You mentioned Monzon killing his spouse – look how people reacted to Valero (who was pretty well enjoyed by boxing fans) when it was reported that he had committed the same crime. Fans were appalled, because, well, most people don't celebrate guys who stab women to death. (FWIW, I was, and still am, a big admirer of Valero's fighting).

For my part, I don't see much quality in ladies' boxing period. That's aside from how unlikeable Shields is (and aside from the fact that I don't really like to see women fighting, due to personal convictions/sensibilities).

There are 97 registered female pros combined in the three divisions Shields has won world titles in

    SMW 18
    MW 32
    LMW 47

The only one I fear is Slick Savannah Marshall

Dude one's a welter and one's a huge ass middle who sometimes campaigns at 168lbs.

That's like saying "if Bud Crawford and John Ryder fought, Ryder would beat him". Like yeah no shit but that has nothing to do with the fact that Bud >>>>> Gorilla.

Just take an L on this one, man. You and @Richmondpete got caught talking out your asses. You just blithely assumed the pool of talent in every division is as weak across the board as the ones in which Claressa has fought, and were both ignorant of the fact that female boxing actually has a p4p worthy star who's blatantly light years beyond Shields that you just happen to not be familiar with because she hasn't gotten much (or really any) exposure in the US television market.

...or, willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, maybe you did know about Brækhus and just forgot. Either way, there's no way any informed person that has seen both and studied their careers would be able to say that Shields is even close to Brækhus' level p4p, let alone better or a realistic claimant to "best female boxer in the world". :nono:

Not to mention, Delfine Persoon is way out in front of Shields, too. (just a little behind Cece). I'm not sure there are currently even any names from 154-168 that Shields could even beat that would bring her square with Brækhus. Catching up with Persoon's a maybe.

Shields could drag little ass lightweight Persoon or welter Brækhus up for a career high cash-out payday at 154 and viciously ragdoll their old and out-sized behinds, and guess what? That victory wouldn't mean shit, and sure as hell doesn't prove she's "better" than either of them.

We not talking about "most dudes". We talking about the biggest names in the sport. Names like Canelo, Manny and FlIVd are household names. Shes the top woman in her sport and nobody cares.

No, she has skills aplenty, it's merely a case of Persoon being more skilled.

The first female boxer to beat a world ranked male boxer, will go down as the GOAT female boxer

Anything less than that is just affirmative self-weakening, a female boxer road-map, should have clear milestones, with Male boxers as their step-up
    1. Female Pro-Boxer or Male Pro-Debut
    2. Male Pro-Boxer or Female Contender
    3. Male Contender or Female Champion
    4. Male World Champion

I agree. While Laila Ali retired -never had a major championship fight with someone her own size yet she is asking $10 million dollars to fight Shields.
    Not Taylor mind you.
