The special thing about manny the southpaw is that he actually has a right hook in his arsenal which is something missing out of too many southpaws. Anything a southpaw does to an orthodox fighter the orthodox can do back to them. A straight left or right is usually the best punch vs someone in a different stance. Both fighters have great straights, but Mayweather has the better one. He was already able to triple up on it as a young 20 year old kid; that's how he KO'd one of his southpaws. We rarely even see a seasoned and experienced veteran double up on it, let alone triple. An exclusive disadvantage to southpaws against orthodox fighters is that their liver is closer to the orthodox fighter's lead head. PBF has landed the rare straight right to a liver before to get a KO win.

It'll be a hard fight for emmanuel pacman even if Mayweather doesn't do all of his usual tricks against southpaws. Roach, who knows pac better than any of us, believes the pac would need to fight the "perfect fight" against Mayweather, despite his thinking that Mayweather doesn't like southpaws.

Will be interesting to see how the pac reacts to being in the ring against someone with faster hand speed, better footwork, superior timing, much moar agility, and a straight that's more versatile.

Timing is the answer to speed. Mayweather has some of the best timing in boxing. Add Mayweather's speed to his timing. Unless Pacquiao can get to Mayweather early. I don't see how he beats him.
