Howard Foster is bloody awful. Ruined Froch Groves 1 of course.

Groves was on a podcast lately, saying he still hasn't forgiven Foster all these years later - they've met at fight cards and outside of boxing and get along OK but Groves said he just couldn't let it lie :)

Don’t blame him. Especially after Foster was liking Frochs Facebook posts about stopping him the night before the actual fight. So unprofessional and worse.

I like Groves, can't really blame him tbh, but the rematch probably set him up for life, given the doubts surrounding the stoppage (and it was pretty ill timed), but I maintain that Froch would have gotten a far more convincing stoppage had he been allowed to, but then, no 90k at Wembley!

Apparently it was set up to get themselves noted on the world stage with these fights and then they would fight next.

Yeah he dropped him but price wasn't used to people getting back up.

Hahaha turned him into a tranny. Quality comment. Isnt a tranny though a bloke who liked wearing a dress or other women's clothing before all this bollocks today kicked off. That's how I remember it anyway.

Don’t think anyone is suprised about this, it’s well known that price had tremendous power.

Yes he didn't have a great chin & his mentality wasn't the best. He lacked a killer instinct at time and came across abit too 'nice' to be a dangerous heavyweight. But I'd say his biggest flaw was stamina. Seemed to burn out after the first few rounds. Would become an issue if he didn't blast his opponent out early.

What if Groves hangs on and wins on points, although he was about to get robbed. Surely Eddie would have forced the rematch. Groves would have took it aswell he was confident of beating Froch and did exactly what he said he was going to do to him. Froch just an incredibly lucky fighter to have that chin. Reckon euro level max without it. He may have got Groves a bit later but he may not.

Tranny is a tranny. Transsexual wasn’t it? I refuse to call them anything else still, they were rightly a figure of ridicule until all this madness kicked off and it was seen as a mental illness by most. Just because people tell me to think differently and call them something else, I won’t haha.

Reason I mention Frank Maloney is because if you saw his post fight interview he was absolutely devastated. Almost cryin looked like he’d lost a close family member or lost his life savings. Next time i saw him he was a she male calling himself Kelly on Big Brother. Defo Price’s fault for that. Or Thompson for getting up at 9, whichever way you want to look at it.

I really wanted that fight. Would have been great Liverpool vs Manchester, brash vs down to earth, 2 big up and comers both huge. Everyone who followed the sport even loosely in the city was hoping for that fight. Still believe that Price beats that Fury well.

    Froch euro level?

    Absolutely not.

    1. Yes, Groves could have hung on, but Froch had a terrific engine and could throw big shots really late, and Groves used to fade. I still reckon Froch would have gotten to him late, without the Howard Foster debacle.
And let's not forget Frochs mindset, his grit and determination.

Without his chin yes. Used to eat massive shots and walk through them like I’ve never seen. Perfect example was the first Groves fight. Had great grit and determination also.

Although it was the general conception, I dunno if he always faded. Look at that Rebrasse fight, felt like he threw a Calzaghe amount of punches throughout the 12. Was alright against Jack. Think he was gassing first Froch fight because he’d thrown the kitchen sink and Froch was still in there. He was always going to box clever the second fight and keep him at range, at his pace, hence Hearn et al bumping him with the tiny ringsize.
