This content is protected Was this a good decision? Jimmy Clark was the hero of the neighborhood back in PA where I grew up. He was a good fighter though didn't do anything as a pro.
Sure didn't. Him and Wells. Thought both were going to amount to something===kind of still perplexing because there really was not a lot of blue chip up and comers until like 77/78, in the U.S. anyway
Thought this was the fight but it was not. There was a matchup between Stevenson and Clark (don't know how many times they may have fought) where Clark went at Teo in the first round and had him. Stevenson was hurt, bloodied and Clark was all over him...until the eastern bloc referee took matters into his own hands. After saving Stevenson he then went about warning Clark for absolutely everything!!!! A jab - a warning. A right hand - a warning. A body shot - oh, you know there was a warning for that. You could visibly see Clark stop throwing punches for fear of being DQ'd. And of course, Stevenson takes the decision. There is a special place in pugilistic purgatory for that ref.
There is a nefarious agenda behind this thread I am sure. Also, how does Wilfredo Benitez get credit in this thread? You have some kind of agenda?
