    I don`t think McClellamn was that impressive v Jackson, why couldn`t the methods illustrated on this study work v Benn when he met G-man in `95?

    Leaving the left arm out like that is a move that goes way back to at least the early 1900s. It used to be called a leverage block and, in threads with video of very old fights, some posters call that same move amateurish and say it would never work today. Putting the glove on his right shoulder or even jabbing to that shoulder is another old old move.

    Maybe the biggest factor in that fight was that McClellan was at least 15, if not 20, pounds heavier than Jackson.

    Mcclellan was naturally a much bigger man, probably a natural 185 pounder

    Yes other pundits call it posting, Foreman used to post with both arms to keep shorter armed fighters at a safe range.
