Great Pictures Rocky.That picture of Marciano "skiing ' was taken at Grossinger's,Sullivan County, where I saw him train, and his mgr. Al Weil,taking a Buck from us to see Rocky spar.But it was worth it,and after seeing Marciano batter his sparmates from 2or 3 ft away, I wonder how Carmine Vingo ever survived that near fatal beating ,my dad and I saw ,Dec,1949 at MSG. Marciano UP CLOSE, was a human battering ram that bludgeoned
his opponents arms, shoulders, face, head,with concussive force, and he NEVER TIRED. Cheers...

No Rocky, whoever they were, they weren't well known. Besides that granite body of Marciano,looking at his massive thighs,I could understand
the foundation of his thudding blows. :good

 

Walcott was out of character during his sparring sessions with Smith -he'd really try to hurt him and I think it was mutual.
