Yes Dougie ,I saw the Billy Arnold [new Joe Louis] lose his first bout to
wily and old Fritzie Zivic at MSG.Shortly after Billy Arnold,who could HIT,after giving 8-1 underdog Rocky Graziano a TERRIBLE beating in the
first round, was caught by a Graziano grenade flush on the chin, and
kod by underdog Rocky in the 3rd rd in 1945. The crowd went wild,
as I did too..This fight made Graziano an overnight sensation !!!b.b.

 

Frazier just doesnt look right without his manly beard.

 

No Dougie, no one in the crowd booed...That I remember well. Zivic was
34 years old then, and he wasn;t given much of a chance, but ole fritzie
was a wily cuss, and won a close decision over the heavy handed Billy Arnold...Billy Arnold was destroyed by Rocky Graziano, a few weeks later
at MSG in 1945, and I am still hoarse from screaming...b.b.
