Maybe the best performance of his career. He can say that he did something Marquez, Barrera, DLH, Hatton, and a list of other very good fighters could not do. That night...he beat Manny Pacquiao.
Awesome. Round 12 of that fight was even more insane. Morales had balls too big for his own good at times. I can't believe he switched southpaw and got nailed with some big shots that wobbled him once.
Pacs success now just highlights how good these little guys were (barrera morales and marquez etc....) although pac has come on these past few fights I think the main reason he has been able to do this is because the massive difference in talent... between the division kind of reminds me of hopkins stepping up and doing what he has a light heavy now. Anyway back to the point brilliant post and a classic clip Morales finest hour.
I knew which part it was before I even clicked on the video. That was my favorite part of the whole trilogy. This content is protected :bbb
My all time favorite of Manny Pacquiao fight, non stop, give and take actions from round one, no let up. Morales was a proud warrior on this battle.
A great pic from this fight shows Pacquiao with a cut and blood flowing everywhere on his face and then smiling like he just went to see a film with rainbows, flowers and puppy dogs with his kids. This content is protected I don't know about you guys but I don't think I would be smiling if I went twelve hellacious rounds with Erik Morales.
Can't say enough about what Morales brought to the table that night. Manny also of course, but Erik just was NOT going to be denied.
I remember something Tyson said in his documentary, it went something like: "There's nothing more deadly and nothing more proficient than a happy fighter. Everybody believes that it's the mean and the surly fighter that's the tough fighter. But that's not true,it's the guy that's most relaxed, the guy that loves what he does and is just happy being there doing what he does" Just like Pac is :good
