chavez over taylor is the greatest, closely followed by marciano over walcott 1, and then louis over conn 1 and louis over walcott 2.
come from behind wins showcase the true greatness of a fighter. in these fights, so often the 'better' fighter loses to the greater one. intangibles > talent.
Moore-Durelle is my favourite. Moore got smashed up big time, and it wasn't a lucky punch or well timed onslaught that brought him victory, it was composure.
The LaMotta win tops Chavez because it was over the proper championship distance. Sportofkings picked my all time favourite and I also think is the best ever (Moore/DurelleI). Weaver deserves mention (Tate) Harding (Andries) I always felt sorry for Dave 'Boy' McAuley, who would of won Fidel Bassa's title, had they met a few months later. But as it was, he lost arguably the most fun Flyweight bout of all-time in the 13th, in a fight he was winning. Another one for us Brits that rarely gets mentioned. Glen McCrory's turn around victory over Siza Makahanti. Sure it was no Moore/Durelle etc, but it showed a McCrory did have a bit of a ticker when motivated.

All time favourite has to be Moore-Durelle 1 - Moore was twice as close to gone as it is possible to be - a recentish one was a carl the cat Thompson one where he was losing to some European guy - also is corrales over castillo considered a come from behind? Tyson very nearly pulled of one against Douglas too - wouldn't call Marciano-Walcott 1 or Louis-Conn 1 come from behind wins tho - in both cases there was only a round in it when the win was pulled off
This is not a classic one but Mercer was taking a beating and got totally outclassed by Francisco Damiani but then.. One punch, Damian goes down and his nose is broken and he is unable to continue. IMO one of the most undeserved wins in boxing history. For me it was nothing but a lucky punch. Sounds stupid yeah, but this is the way I think.
it really was a lucky punch. With Marciano-Walcott I you could tell rocky was cutting off the ring and was really setting up his right hand. Mercer just kind of winged with a left uppercut and didnt expect him to get knocked out like that
