I think it has potential to be a fight. I am looking for a surprise if not an upset.

I expect Golovkin to win. Brook has no record whatsoever in the middleweights. I don't feel they are greatly different in size, but Golovkin did look more drained at the weigh in so he ought to be bigger in the ring at fight time. But size doesn't really matter, it's less the fact that Brook is smaller, and more the fact that he hasn't faced the likes of Golovkin in terms of power and middleweight fighting. Brook might be a genuine middleweight himself - in fact he is whatever the scales say he is - but he just hasn't had the experience of fighting in the division. And he's taking on the #1 man.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it goes a lot longer than people expect, but I wouldn't be surprised if Golovkin blasts him out in 2 or 3 rounds either.

Brook has been talking and acting like he's up for this fight. That's often a sign of intense underlying fear though, and it takes a special one to translate a great fear into a great performance.
Brook has a chance to show us he's a "Special One".

Golovkin should end it in 2.

He hasn't gotten the warmest reception. Brook is a formidable opponent. And this would boost his image of dominance if he just ends it quickly.

I think that's what they will do. No "give fans a fight". No taking shots for fun. Just a quick KO.

A first round KO would even be more spectacular.

GGG is in a bit of a no win situation . If he knocks him out early Brook is an overmatched middleweight, if it goes longer GGG is a bum.

Golovkin let him back into the fight. He had him in round 1, but let Kell Brook back in. No no no, not good.

GGG is a middleweight Rocky Marciano.

He turned the boxing fight into a street brawl once he felt Brook getting into his game. His missed haymakers look like Rockys punching forms.

Great fight. Just like a good old school fight with Louis or Baer, or Dempsey or Rocky. Great stuff.

GGG needs a little more discipline. He's gonna get Schmeling'd if he keeps letting his opponents come back from being shaken in round 1.

BY classic standards, Golovkin hasn't faced the best calibre opponents over the years but he's done enough to be rated #1 at middleweight.
He's a brutal fighter. I like his style.

He's been professional 10 years and he's already 34 years old. He was an international amateur since the juniors. World junior champion at light-welter 16 years ago.
People talk about him being "exposed" etc.
It's a bit late for that. He's the best of the bunch of this era.
Realistically he's passed his peak anyway. People still talk like he's some new kid. I doubt he's going to improve now, he is what he is.

My arse he let Brook off the hook, GGG was throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Kel. Brook surprised me big time in the second round. GGG is in a **** era, I don't think he'd be eating shots off a Hagler, Hearns or a Leonard so easily in fact they would give him all he could handle.....

no one has anything to be ashamed of in that fight.

ggg got the stoppage before the halfway and kell looked great for portions of the fight despite being outmatched and injured.

I feel like Golovkin could have ended it here
    https://streamable.com/49lp

I feel like he tried to set up a good looking knock out after the clinch, but Kell got back in right away.
Brook was really durable. He had great heart, and he boxed smart. His stock should rise after this one.

Golovkin took way more shots in that fight than he should have. In his past fights it wasn't so bad because he had more control. But in this fight he was losing control, and it got scary at some points, like when Brook landed that uppercut. The better talent he goes up against, the more he needs to focus on being disciplined and finishing the KO as soon as it presents itself.

At the end of the day, I don't know what's going through his mind, and physically how he feels at that exact moment. It's just my take.

GGG tried his best to get the knockout in every round. He is very hittable, do you honestly think he would have walked through shots off the likes of Benn, Jackson, McCellan??

The man has great power and a good chin, I think those punches he took had an effect on him but it's hard to tell with him. I don't think he was being hit for the fun of it, Kel definitely got his respect imo.....

Yes exactly, it turned out to be a fight. People are missing out on a good one who don't appreciate it. Brook showed a ton of heart and skill. He belongs at the top. Golovkin is the best middleweight in the world.
